mike, what's the trade here. >> yeah, so tyler, this is an interesting one. as carter pointed out, it is an equal weighted etf equal weighted etfs have had a tendency not to have the violent downside gap types of moves in real market swoons in the caplated ones, and that's often because the high flying stocks have a disproportionate share of those. i would ask people to take a look at the levels of xrt now. it's near double the pre-pandemic level for these names, which is pretty remarkable when you consider all that we've been through. to my eye it doesn't really seem like this is the cheapest place to enter the market right now. now, the other thing to point out about equal weighted etf is this is a situation where simply going out and buying what's expected, that sharp downward move like i was just describing isn't really the play. i think what you want to use here is a put spread i was looking out to march certainly buying the at the money 87 strike put selling the 77 strike put against it when i was looking at that earlier today, that was going to cost a

. >> mike, what is the trade then? >> so this is an interesting one. alphabet, because i think this would probably be one of my favorite stocks under normal circumstances for the full year. i mean, this thing is trading at less than 23 times full year estimated earnings, cheaper than the market if you look at it x cash, it is probably about 21 times. and you compare it to other tocks that other people seem to like although that are performing very weakly like amazon. and which is a comparably valued company that is probably going to make about 80% less in terms of the earnings and over the course of the next five years or so, maybe 260 belillion versus 0 billion in the aggregate over the next five years for alphabet over amazon. so about 80% more than amazon. but obviously nothing seems to be performing all that well in this environment so if you own this stock, if you're concerned, one thing you could do is consider a hedge and the hedge i was looking at, because implied volatility is for almost everything have gone up because of basically what we're

mike, what do you say? >> okay. well, the first part of that question is really a technical one so i will probably defer to carter, maybe he will have a quick answer for you on that as far as the options are concerned, they are really, really pricey in sofi. the march at the money straddle is about 30% for the current stock price. if you buy call, it's tough to see profits. even if you buy call spreads for example, the 1517 call spread is about 40% of the distance between the strikes not the kind of the math we typically like if you do believe it's going to bounce i'd be more inclined to buy the stock and sell some upside calls against it >> so it would be a really expensive options trade. carter, would it even be worth it what do you say in the technical front? >> it has found support. the bounce so far is a bit feeble i think it's sort of fair money/dull money here. >> feeble is a descriptive word. i love it. we have a question on the payment stocks visa and mastercard are up from december 1st lows. is there more
