napa county will open up a clinic in about 10 days on november 15th alameda county is planning for a clinic about the same time but has not set an exact date. sonoma county will not be hosting one big clinic site but will instead be doing individual vaccination sessions in schools. those will start on tuesday and solano county has not yet set a date for its clinic besides these county run locations. the doses will also be available at pharmacies and pediatricians offices throughout the bay area. meantime, thousands of us military personnel missed a covid-19 vaccination deadline nearly 8500 active duty air force and space force members are not vaccinated. the air force says these figures account for the 800 people who refuse the shot and the nearly 5,000 requesting a religious exemption. but about 95% of the branches vaccinated and about one percent is waiting for their second dose. the air force plans to review all exemption request by the beginning of next month. the united kingdom has authorized the use of the world's first covid antiviral pill. it was first developed by merck phar

the alameda county sheriff's office is investigating the death as a homicide. also monday, another inmate there at the jail was found dead in his cell. authorities say it appears the inmate died of natural causes. the man's name has not been released and conditions at santa rita jail were the focus of a meeting of alameda county supervisors. this morning, alameda county's health officers gave supervisors and overview of its annual inspection at santa rita jail covering health, nutrition and dental care. jail. officials also said they have a new agreement to share data between the counties. adult forensic behavioral health team and the sheriff's department. they say that communication will allow them to help inmates who are in crisis. not only are we going to be able to receive information that's critical for our team to know as we engage individuals who are suffering through some behavioral health issues, whether my older severe, but it also is allowing for the heaven health team to have information for resources. in september, alameda county agreed to a settle

so we are at this point waiting for the alameda county coroner to remove the decedent. from this scene. we clearly are not going to show that to you. but there is a secondary scene and that we have some video of let's go and show you that video right now and just about a quarter mile. east of where we are standing right now, as you approach the toll plaza from 80, there is another scene which may be where this shooting actually occurred, and we saw a number of evidence markers on the freeway there and patrol vehicles protecting that scene. it appears that the victims of that shooting may have taken the very first available exit again. that is that exit that we were just explaining to you, which is an access road to the bay bridge toll plaza. we can also see investigators here on scene, talking with at least two witnesses from two different vehicles, a white pickup truck and the burgundy suv where we saw the decedent earlier. both witnesses have now. left the scene and we are waiting for an official statement from chp. but again, it appears to have been a fatal shooting

there's a new vaccine mandate in alameda county county health officials today announced that all first responders must get vaccinated. this includes police officers, firefighters and ambulance providers. anyone who's not fully vaccinated by december, 21st must wear masks when they are around patients. and must test for the coronavirus weekly. but the county says employers first responders can implement of vaccine mandate without a testing option if they choose to. this week's cal game has been postponed. school officials said today that saturday's game between cal and usc has now been pushed back because a number of cal football players have tested positive for the coronavirus. they have been unable to practice this week and would not be cleared by saturday. the game will now take place on saturday, december 4th. this marks the first covid related postponement in the pac 12 conference this season. if you have purchased tickets u. c berkeley's athletic department says it will reach out. the nfl has now find the green bay packers quarterback aaron rodgers for violating covid-19 rules. th

. >> chp has responded to 76 shootings on alameda county freeways in the last year. most of them happening on 580 and 880. >> i met with chief armstrong this morning and he said that there are individuals who are utilizing the freeways more to engage in this type of violence. >> that's because, he says, it's difficult to catch somebody involved in a gun battle on the freeway. difficult but not impossible. a contra costa county task force proved that by setting up surveillance cameras and a monitoring station after getting funding for close to $2 million. at the height of the problem on 880 and highway 4 starting in 2015, there were 62 freeway shootings and nine fatalities. once the cameras were activated the number of freeway shootings decreased to two in 2019, one of them fatal. we reached out to chp and caltrans. a spokesperson from both agency said there's no systems in place to properly record shootings on alameda county freeways, and there's no hope that will happen anytime soon. cheryl hurd, today in the bay. >> we could get answers on the true impact on the cl
