and jacki kennedy came a little bit late. i'm not sure she was feeling that well in the morning. but she did show up and the crowd it seems, the stories that i have heard, are that the crowd was just as excited to see her as to see him. so that was a special moment in fort worth. everybody was excited. while that was going on in the hotel, people were lining up on the streets. we knew where the motorcade was going to be. high school bands and cheerleaders were lining the streets. folks knew when the motorcade was going to go by so the office building started emptying. the department stores started emptying and the motorcade when it finally did come off of the hotel property and on to main street, the motorcade went down toward the courthouse and he left fort worth on a high. people were cheering and the band was playing and the stories i have heard after the fact are that people were very proud that fort worth hosted the president of the and the first lady and they were very glad they had an opportunity to see them in person and to host them in such fine fashion. one of the thing

to jackie, what did this committee managed to do with this first hearing? what was important about how this all began? >> yeah, thank you for having me on. i think the select committee wanted to put the political chaos that we've seen leading up to this first hearing of the investigation of january 6th, and to put the spotlight strictly on the first person accounts from these four heroic police officers, and the traumatic experiences that they had banking on the fact that these would resonate with the american public. breaking through the political war we've seen back and forth between nancy pelosi and minority leader kevin mccarthy. all eyes were trained on officers fanone, gonell, and harry dunn's, and officer hodges as they provided excruciating graphic details of what happened that day as they -- as the capital was invaded by hundreds of rioters. funneling described in graphic detail being beat with a metal rod, electoral shopped with a taser. shortly thereafter he suffered from a heart attack, traumatic brain injury, and ptsd. more importantly, all the
