within about a 40-minute drive around the bay area. half moon bay you kind of needed a jacket at times. some of the cooling did reach san francisco. there is a beautiful view, the bay bridge in the distance where we've got a sea breeze cooled. 54 degrees. but that is not carrying too far inland right now. as you see, patchy low clouds closer to san francisco. san jose kind of the comfortable middle ground today as we saw temperatures mostly in the mid-80s. mid- to upper 80s tomorrow. but the exceptions to the rule obviously in terms of the sea breeze aoling. it's been out towards the tri-valley. it's only cooled down to 78 degrees after a high of 106 degrees today in livermore. tomorrow it will be probably just a little bit cooler. but we're still expecting highs near 102 around livermore tomorrow. so here is a look at the breeze. this is important. fairfield has got a southwest wind at 23 miles per hour. if you have friends and family in the sacramento area, they look for that. the delta breeze through solano county, starting to see a

high temperatures tomorrow are still going to be hot inland, away from the bay area. we are getting relief from the heat. it was a two day heat wave, friday and saturday, and is temperatures back off yesterday and today. farther inland, temperatures well into the 90s, a lot of locations up into the 100 and we put death valley on there to indicate that 125 degree high temperature around furnace creek. but the onshore winds are also going to be helping to steer the smoke from the fires in northern california and southern oregon him away from the bay area. our air quality should remain okay at least in the near future. we'll take a look at the seven- day forecast, show you how long this cooler weather is going to stick around in just a few minutes. >>> the beckwith complex fire, that's one region near lake fire, the largest fire of the year in california. it's burning nearly 90,000 acres and has destroyed at least 20 homes in the small community of doyle. reporter rene santos spoke with one man who got caught in the flames. >> i went out in the middle of a paddock area,

look how the band of green pushes to the bay area. you will notice more humidity, kind of a muggy feel to the air monday and tuesday as our temperatures climb on up. as you look at the highest concentration of lightning, the potential of fire danger highest out toward the sierra, but there's a chance we might see a little toward the bay area. monday and tuesday that moisture sweeps through the bay area, through northern california. things trend hotter as we head toward the middle part of the week as the high does build back towards california. check out the temperatures. san francisco, you may see 70s for the middle part of the week. temperaturewise that's pleasant. what's unpleasant is the heat in the valleys. as you see, mid-90s and that risk of fire danger. we'll have to watch closely. right now it does have a sierra focus, but more of that could be closer to the bay area by monday and tuesday. so fire weather watches up near eureka within the last 12 hours or so. there's a chance we might see some of that issued for some of our lo

the bay area on alert this morning. our cameras across the bay area captured fourth of july revelers out in full force overnight. but with those beautiful displays come a lot of danger. kris sanchez is live. good morning, kris. >> reporter: we heard lots of fireworks through the night last night and this morning as i was driving to this location in san jose, i heard folks setting off fireworks despite the fact that the firefighters urged in the days leading up to the fourth of july to leave it to the professionals. this was the view from sky ranger over the east bay. this is the hayward area. and you can see it looked like there were fireworks about every few blocks that kept fireworks there and around the bay busy through the night. the fire district responded to 48 grass fires and five structure fires, fewer than last year. along the hillside west of 680. a home also burned. in the city of san jose, firefighters were bracing for firework-related fires too. >> we saw unprecedented firework use in our community. we had
