cohen, if it is true that michael cohen went to prague, how did that get into the dossier, he hypothesizes that it was russian disinformation. >> what would have been -- to help donald trump become president, why would they plant information that nature that would only fuel suspicion about trump's connections to the kremlin? >> scott's theory which has some validity to it as they were playing both sides of the fence. of donald trump lost, cool, if you won, cool, but they were going to have things out there that made hillary look bad and made donald look bad. that was scott's.. what i write about in the book is that there's only two explanations for why that kind of that information got into the dossier. it was either misinformation or it was -- information. >> what is the difference? >> one is just like i think that this happens and no one is telling you what happened, no one is putting that thought and it was just bad information. i come back to the fact that if you sat down or any other reporters sat down and been able to interview igor and heard the stories come out of his own mouth rat

he got that immunity for testimony on michael d. cohen. you are supposed to tell prosecutors everything. but did weisselberg find a way? three men arranged a now convicted crime for the benefit of one of they can, donald trump. and one of those men did the time. had one of them, allen weisselberg, wiggled away? so is this time any different? last time weisselberg was throwing a peer under the bus. this time his only move would appear to be up, as the da probes his own personal tax returns, bank records, gifts, the mercedes. unlike in the cohen case, either trump or weisselberg now have legal exposure, maybe both. so it is not clear there is anyone else that could take the fall for them based on at least what we know right now. weisselberg's former daughter-in-law who we quoted here and interviewed because she's one of the people the da is talking to, she thinks ultimately he will fold. >> there are a lot of differences. when donald says numbers are certain things and allen says numbers are certain things, they're not adding up. >> i don't

you mentioned michael cohen obliquely there. he has served time for this, federal time, for the illegal campaign donations. this is what he wrote the other day on twitter. he said, i remain ready, willing and able to fully cooperate with sdny for any prosecution of trump, including, but not limited, to the stormy daniel hush money payments for which i was convicted and sentenced. michael cohen wrote that and you sort of retweeted him and wrote, same. what would you tell investigators if you had a chance, or the grand jury? >> i would tell them everything i know. i would tell them that i was approached. i would tell them i have evidence that the money came from an account set up at the direction of donald trump. i will tell them that money was traced back to russian funds. i would give them copies of the bank documents and all the transcripts for that. i think that should terrify anybody that you could take the fall for this. >> michael cohen served time for this, federal time for this. separately there's been an fec investigatio

fitten, i've watched you several times on fox mainly and my question for you is this, michael cohen went to prison in part due to paying hush money to a person that claimed to have an affair with donald trump and donald trump was named as an individual one in the court filings. what i'd like to know is do you think that that's fair because donald trump actually signed one of those checks paying michael cohen back in february of 2017. so i just wonder what your opinion is on that since you're all about ridding d.c. of corruption. >> yeah, i saw that, i thought that was corrupt that the justice department got him to sign off on that. he was never tried on that. i'm not even sure he committed any crimes related to that and this is a typical approach that the justice department had towards donald trump. change the rules, change the confidentiality agreement for which money is paid, which is a standard -- which is standard, and try to make it into a crime or a campaign finance violation. that was an abuse of power by the justice department and it shows you -- again, the whole, frankly, invest

a special master was also appointed in the michael cohen case to review the materials that were surfaced in the michael cohen investigation to insure that nothing that was turned over to the grand jury violated attorney/client privilege. that's what the special master will be doing in this case. a court appointed person, someone who is a lawyer, likely, who will determine what evidence is going to go forward to the grand jury and what must be held back because of privilege issues. >> donald trump jr. is now on video selling cameo videos for $500 each, and donating an unspecified amount to charity. i wonder what bells that rings to you? >> it certainly rings a lot of bells because we had a lot of examples in the past of promises to donate to charity that don't materialize. they're used for the own personal and political agendas of the people doing this. this is just one more ridiculous way that money is being raised. it's been done by the trump campaign, it's been done by paul manafort, it's been done by steve bannon. a lot of people do the fund-raising and don't turn it over to charity.
