we will get laura back in a minute. laura garcia. laura, can you hear us? >> reporter: yes, i can hear you quite clearly. i'm on my what i to gilroy, but let me tell you, the traffic on 101 northbound is backed up. it is bumper-to-bumper completely red. all the side streets, it looks like everyone is basically trying to get out of the gilroy area. obviously, we have been reporting that an active shooter went to the gilroy garlic festival, multiple injuries. that's heavy police presence on the freeway still going southbound as well. there are multiple fire engines going. i understand there is police response from campbell from santa collar. >> reporter: i mean it's pretty immense out here, just the police presence. you still continue to see responding to the scene of westbound to the gilroy garlic festival. >> where are you? where exactly are you there? >> so i'm hitting 101 southbound. i'm headed to the scene to try to gather more information. but you no at the opposing traffic headed northbound. it always backs up on sunday, people coming out of the area.

i'm laura garcia. >> and i'm scott mcgrew. marcus washington has the day off. we've got mike and kari here. let's get a start of your monday morning forecast. >> it starts out nice and clear across the bay area. no fog at the golden gate bridge so as you get ready for your drive this morning, grab some sunglasses. as we take a live look at the golden gate bridge, it is a clear, beautiful sunrise. toward fremont, going out to the warm springs b.a.r.t. station it will be 62 degrees stepping out the door, and some low 80s by early afternoon. so a nice warmup for parts of the bay area but then feeling hot in others. we'll talk more about that in a few minutes. mike, you're talking about that morning commute, only a couple of problem spots. >> that's right, only a couple of problem spots, one of them just came in with more detail. we start off talking about the bay bridge toll plaza. standard summertime commute but here on the upper east shore freeway the change in the traffic pattern, there was a traffic break i believe, there's a change in status as well. we just

. >> and i'm laura garcia. it's a nice start to our tuesday morning. let's check in right now along with that morning commute. look outside with some up, and o have some very nice flow of traffic looking at h 101. let's get' lo a look at our temperature trend for south san jose headed to santa teresa, 58 degrees and a cool start, reaching into the low 70s for the early afternoon. as we get a live look in dublin, 580 has got a lot of people up and out the door, so if y about to head out the door, we are looking at overall a nice flow of traffic, except for a couple of spots. on our maps we are seeing a lot of green sensors, except for 84 headed westbound, coming through livermore, and then also we are seeing a little bit of a backup in parts of the east bay, and then getting to the bay bridge, we've seen a heavy flow of traffic. here the metering lights were turned on early. major delays at the bay bridge toll plaza, so plan ahead as you get ready to head out for work this morning. we'll get a look at weather and traffic. more on that coming up in a few

i'm laura garcia. >> i'm scott mcgrew. marcus washington is off. mike inouye has breaking news. >> richmond we continue to follow the investigation that's going on. we have this video from our chopper which was just over the scene for a couple of minutes. the fog made them leave the area for safety sake but enough to show you the area with the activity right here. you see the traffic flowing here on eastbound 580 getting off the san rafael to richmond bridge, forced off at harbor as this is a tough video to see. let's get out to the maps. chopper had to leave the area because of low clouds for their visibility, that was a safety factor. for you, you have to get forced off of the freeway so expect the slowing as you approach richmond from san rafael. this deadly crash involved a pedestrian, either on the freeway or trying to run across the off-ramp at cutting boulevard. so we'll follow that investigation. meanwhile, the traffic impact means you're off of the freeway at harbor. you'll probably have to jump on somewhere around marina parkway. watch fo

we a laura garcia. we're not going to rewind to monday although the weather was cooler. >> it was cooler, and we're going to heat up today. a live look in san francisco, a mostly clear view looking across the golden gate bridge even as the cars drive by. checking out concord, ooh, look at that. upper 60s to start. 91 at 3:00, so get ready for some hotter weather and mike, you're also checking out the golden gate bridge. >> we'll go back to the same shot, kari. you talk about mostly clear view for the drivers. i do want to point out, i always watch if you can see the lights over here, the towers, you can't, that means low clouds. everything is okay but crews moving alongside the shoulder, you see the glow from the headlights. fog may be a factor for some drivers but not now. a mild backup at the oakland side of the bay bridge. this is friday, so we have a lighter later build expected at the toll plaza. a crash west of highway 4 past 242 should be off to the shoulder, not a problem for contra costa county
