it is strong gusty winds across the north bay hill tops as early as tuesday morning. watch the purple, red and pink in the hills. this is 11:00 tuesday night into wednesday morning. gusts could be 50 to 60 miles per hour. eventually some of those winds mix down into lower elevations wednesday morning. the main event is tuesday into wednesday morning. santa cruz mountains, the winds speed pick up after sundown tuesday. this looks similar to the wind we had about ten days ago which caused all the problems around the east bay. during the day wednesday, gusty start in those hills and wind speeds starting to come down as we head into wednesday evening. high pressure off to the west and these stops drop up and over down towards southern california. sunday next weekend could see some north winds picking up. now we're out to february 10th. still not good news there. both of those longer range models not bringing any rain our way. we'll have to watch gusty winds at times, especially late tuesday into wednesday. winds back off a little bit friday and saturday. san francisco sho

watching those north bay and inland east bay valleys for patchy fog. most of it right now still off to the east of solano county. but by tomorrow morning, solano county, inland contra costa county seeing patchy fog and then a high few clouds passing by. 30s and 40s to start. while not as warm as the temperatures we had this weekend, once we pass lunchtime into the afternoon, we should still see mid-60s closer to san jose. low 60s around the tri-valley with hazy sunshine and into the north bay, but trending a little bit cooler around half moon bay into san francisco and oakland. so the pattern change coming up isn't really showing up very much in the seven-day forecast because friday, the first system in the series kind of falls apart as it gets closer to the bay area. but the bigger changes are lurking just after the end of next weekend. so that does run a little bit beyond sunday there in the forecast. but as we move into february now, we're beginning to see cooler temperatures, more moisture, and as you see there, good rain chances starting to return
