inland east bay and north bay valleys. you see from the camera, there is that low cloud bank over the skyline. i will show you where we have some trouble spots. we'll leave that view, as cool as that looks. everybody is in the mid 50s except concord. isn't that interesting? it's 46 in concord. concord you are one of the locations that has fog. that colder air and fog kind of going hand in hand. santa rosa 51. you've got it as well. it's 0.3 of a mile now for concord. the north bay, we are about a mile as well. and fairfield is down on the drive. patchy fog for the usual suspects. if we look above the fog and check the mid level clouds, it's gray everywhere. if we play it forward, we stay that way. gray skies, we never really get a break. it will stay this way until tomorrow's rain. there is rain coming home morning. today's daytime highs, low 60s for warmer spots in the south bay. mid 50s for inland valleys of the east bay, upper 50s about everywhere else. if we track the next opportunity for rain, you see it right there.

in the north bay we have been getting light rain. a couple hundredths of an inch of rain for communities up and down 101, that's the latest look at high def doppler. futurecast sees it, play it forward and watch showers slowly fall apart as they slowly march south across the rest of the bay. we'll see rain across the golden gate within the next hour or two and from there, there is less and less rain so by the time we get to south bay there is not a lot left. we will get breaks in the clouds today which will be nice. by the time we have gotten to noon we are looking at sunshine in the north bay. once we get to the afternoon, back edge of the clouds will clear out for everybody else. rainfall totals are light, get a tenth of an inch of rain out of this for the most part. be aware of slick roads for the morning commute. daytime highs go to the upper 50s today with more blue sky. it will snow in the sierra. we'll pick up another half foot and that's why we've got another winter weather advisory until 6:00. you see the snow level down per

by that i mean the north bay. that's when this will be bringing most noticeable rain through sonoma, marin, napa, not to say it won't rain after that to the south. it will. it won't be that good. that's maybe about 0.2 of an inch of rain. if we go to 9:00 and 10:00, golden gate, it will rain today, don't get me wrong. by then we are talking about light showers that should not have a significant impact on the drive. even the rain in the north bay, windshield wipers will likely be on in the window of really 7:00 to 9:00. but it shouldn't have much of an impact. slick roads are slick roads. give yourself extra time. south bay, maybe a shower in the early afternoon. then we watch clouds clear out by the time we get to 1:00 or 2:00. that might be one of the more interesting things about this. it's been a while since we have seen blue sky. it's going to take a while to do that for some of us. for north bay you will see it by early afternoon. in the south bay, you might get to clear blue sky by just around sun set tonigh

take a look at three examples for the north bay valleys, it went down to 28 today. that is the number i am taking from the sonoma county airport. tomorrow, we pretty much do the same thing. march improvement. monday and tuesday gets a lot better. we will take a look at those valleys for the inland east bay. doing it again tomorrow and you see the improvement for monday and tuesday. dramatic changes because we are going to get back into the storm track. not that there is a lot of rain coming, but we are going to get more clouds. that will also bring more editing in general. it will be more of an insulator for your overnight lows. the clouds start to be more noticeable so you get another really pretty blue sky in the low 50s. clouds increase sunday late and then monday it rains, we can watch that with the showers just kind of intermittent monday going to the heart of the afternoon into the evening. plan on a chance of light rain. there is a chance at any point on monday where we are not going to get a lot. it probably sticks around into tuesday morning at this point a
