it was part of a pattern of behavior by donald trump and his company that was potentially illegal. quote, since moving to compel the testimony of eric trump in august 2020, the osof the attorney general has significant additional evidence that the trump organization use obtained a host of economic benefits including loans, insurance coverage and tax deductions. new york attorney general has been investigating the potentially fraudulent practices for nearly three years. she's laying it out there, bank fraud, insurance fraud, tax fraud. there is a parallel criminal investigation being run by state prosecutors in the manhattan d.a.'s office. but this investigation by attorney general leticia james, she can bring a lawsuit, which is a bigger deal than it might seem on the surface. similar ones have succeeded in shutting down trump's scam university, also his scam charity. now they've apparently got their sights on his family business. james says that her offices has not yet determined whether they're going to take action. but the investigation appears to be nearing its end. because the

lincoln county is about 70% wind, and cast 68% of its votes for donald trump in 2020. these activists spent months going door to door collecting signatures to make sure that it doesn't get harder for anyone to vote. they are not partisan, big d democrats. they're small d democrats, supporting democracy and everyone. nationally, more than 1688 polling places have been shuttered, since the supreme court decision, shall be v, holder in 2013. that's when the supreme court gutted the -- 1688 places close. before that, georgia was one in nine states that was not allowed to changes election laws, in ways that would negatively impact minority voters ability to cast a ballot without federal approval. in georgia specifically, 10% of all polling locations have been closed across the state, since that supreme court decision. just last year, -- past major new restrictive voting laws that made it harder to vote absentee, or would drop boxes. making physical polling places all the more important. which is part of why, with this group data so interested. they fought back in a way that

they chose donald trump. that was a reporter from abc's atlanta station on december 14th, 2020, the day 16 georgia republicans were spotted in the state capital, signing an elector slate, falsely claiming to be the duly elected and qualified electors from the state of georgia. even though, by then, it was clear, absolutely clear, joe biden won this state. now, today, to have this fake electors, including the current georgia state party chair, received subpoenas, directing them to share what they know about that scheme. and while we know the january six committee and the department of justice, are currently investigating that, those georgia electors could face criminal consequences in their own state. the atlanta journal-constitution puts it this way, those fake georgia electors could come under scrutiny from fulton county district attorney fani willis, who is investigating -- legal experts interviewed, cited various federal and state laws against false statements, forgery, racketeering and election fraud that
