of a home there in oakland. take a look at the video. this is the video we just got in the news room from the photographer, and that shooting took place on sterling drive near the oakland zoo. both have been taken to the hospital. we are working to learn more about their conditions and we are in communications with oakland pd to see if they have information or a description of the suspect. this shooting comes days after a toddler, jasper wu, was shot and killed by a stray bullet while he was asleep in the car seat as his mother drove along 880 there in oakland. there's currently a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of jasper's killer. oakland facing a surge in violence. this year, 119 people have died by homicide, more than last year. in the last couple of days, the city has seen a lot of violence. a woman was hit by a stray bullet while buying a concert ticket, and a woman was shot at lake merritt. this morning we will keep a close eye on the condition of that woman and 11-year-old daughter th

three men approach retired oakland police captain ersie joyner as he pumps gas. they search him for valuables and then check his car. that's when joyner pulled out a gun, shooting and killing one of them. they returned fire, hitting him six times. sources now tell nbc bay area's cheryl hurd that three people have been arrested. u.s. marshals tracked the driver of the getaway car to houston, where they took him into custody. two of others tied to the shootout were arrested in the sacramento area. joyner, meanwhile, spent several weeks in the hospital and is now recovering at home. >>> we have new video this morning showing a swarm of people robbing a nordstrom store in walnut creek yesterday evening. our reporter jody hernandez was there when it happens. she says about 25 cars blocked the street, people jumped out, rushed into nordstrom, racing back out with merchandise before driving away. it's so similar to what we saw in san francisco's union square friday night. one man who works at a nearby restaurant tells us what he saw. >> i probably saw 50 to 80 people in

in oakland, we will start off with clouds and temperatures in the low 50s. much more sunshine today as we will see our highs reaching into the upper 60s, reaching 67 in los gatos, east san josÉ up to a high of 69 degrees. more of the same for morgan hill and gilroy. for the east bay we are seeing mid to upper 60s. danville headed towards 68 degrees. 64 in san mateo. for san francisco we have upper 50s in the marina district to the outer sunset. north bay highs reaching up in the 60s for santa rosa and ukiah. that's where the sun will clear more quickly, and then another chance of showers thursday into friday morning. for the weekend it's looking dry and with a gusty wind that could be blowing offshore. we will watch that for the weekend. as we get a look at our estimated rainfall, it brings us about0.1 of an inch of rain, so not a major chance of rain. looking at the highs, we're staying cool with low 60s over the next few days. into the weekend looks nice for outdoor hiking or whatever you have planned, or maybe getting an early start on the shopping, and

and in downtown oakland, we have new video of a hit that took place monday night. a mob of thieves hit a mom and pop business. as you can see in the store security camera video from the prime 356 clothing store, at least 30 people rushed in can cleared them out of their inventory. the store owners tell us this is the second time they have been robbed in a month at a cost so far of about $180,000. in a news conference yesterday, san francisco district attorney chasea budean announced he would formally file felony charges against nine people arrested friday night for robbing the louis vuitton store in san francisco, a cannabis dispensary, and a walgreens. he said that kind of behavior won't be tolerated and people will be punished. the san francisco police officers association, however, says it will be following these cases closely to make sure budean keeps his word. he's also facing a recall for not being tough on crime, according to critics. >> and unfortunately, chasea has a track record of offering extremely lenient plea deals to repeat and chronic offenders that

oakland will be at about 68 degrees at 3:30. and in novato, 66 degrees. more of the same in san francisco. and then cooling down into the upper 40s once again tonight. this is going to be very much like our weather is just on repeat each and every day. all because of nothing coming our way. we don't have any rain over the next few days. we can see this long line of clouds heading up around seattle. they've been just really hammered with rain here recently. and we've been missing out on all of that activity because of this high pressure that's not budging. and it's steering all of those storm systems on to the north and off to the east. we're going to continue to see that weather pattern continue as that high pressure is not going to move. and now as we're at the end of november, heading toward december, this is usually one of our wettest months of the year. and we had that really great start to the water year. but since then, we really haven't seen much. and there's still not a lot in this forecast over the next few days. temperatures stay in the low 70s.

santa rosa, novato, napa, oakland, concord, livermore. let's look at the visibility numbers, there are dangerous conditions. the high beams reflect off of the fog and make it harder to see, so limited visibility in through novato. you can see santa rosa and the fairfield area, expecting this dense fog to remain through mid morning, and then we will get clearing for the afternoon. temperatures right now in the 40s. in the 50s to start, and just a little chilly in dublin, san josÉ, morgan hill at 45. it will be a stunning day ahead. mostly sunshine once that fog clears out. temperatures will warm up quite comfortably in the mid and upper 60s. a couple low 70s as well. i want to give you a shot of the day for greater tahoe. look at that stunning sunrise. we have just a little snow blanketing, and hopefully we will get more winter storms head into december. south lake tahoe, the forecast for this weekend we will stay in the 50s, and no storms for now. i want to give you a closer look at the long-range outlook because we are looking at our ne
