joining us now from kenosha is nbc news correspondent -- shaq is at the course where the jury has been deliberating today, he's been on the story from the beginning. when that kenosha officer shot and injured jacob blake. chuck thank you so much for joining us tonight, i know this is all coming together, and it's been a long haul. definitely the case, rachel, no problem at all. i'll tell you the courtroom houses pretty quiet now, but it was much early different earlier today. when you had some protesters, people who were both defending rittenhouse and people who were -- calling on his of conviction. you had been gathered outside the courthouse. but inside the courthouse we saw the jury and we finally got an idea of the official makeup that the jury is deliberating. and now in our eight of deliberations, they broke for the night, they'll begin day to deliberations tomorrow. but we know that makeup includes seven women and five men. out of that entire jury, one person identifies as being a person of color, a man. and this is a county that is about 87% white, so it's fairly representative

here's some of the coverage from the time that attack happened led by nbc's chief foreign correspondent richard engel. >> reporter: iran has confirmed that it has launched what is a conventional strike, firing, it says, more than a dozen ballistic missiles from inside iranian territory at bases that house american personnel here in iraq. iranian state tv posting video of ground-to-ground ballistic missiles roaring toward iraqi bases housing u.s. troops and claimed iran's supreme leader ayatollah khamenei saw the launch from the control room. they posted more video of what they said was the impact around 5:30 p.m. eastern time. each of the missiles was packed with a thousand or 1,600 pounds of explosives. military officials told nbc news enough to shred this row of bunk houses and throw shock waves as powerful as truck bombs. one of the missiles landed here and because the ground is a little softer it created a very deep crater. it's about 15 feet deep, probably twice as wide. so you can see these were powerful missiles just by the fact that they were able to displace this much earth. ma
