>> i'm with frank on this one. i would like to see it happen fast, but i do want to point out the courts can and have acted much more quickly than we're seeing now. in the watergate era, our subpoena for the trial tapes was issued on april 16th. it was argued in the supreme court on july 8th, and they decided on july 24th. that's only weeks. so there's no reason why a criminal contempt can't be done quickly. a grand jury can be presented in one day as soon as they get it and make the decision. they have to individually weigh whether this is right case for contempt. that is defiance of a subpoena and does deserve the kind of treatment. and it is a message to all future witnesses. as frank said, not just in this particular case. if we go back to the trump administration, you had all kinds of issues for oversight that never got resolved because witnesses from homeland security and other places would not come in and could not be ordered to come in. so i think this is a case where something has to be done, whether it's
