welcome to europe's biggest bottling plant. they make five million bottles a day here. and these furnaces have to get up to 1,600 celsius. it's incredibly hot in here! and it is all powered by gas. it is extraordinary times, we haven't seen anything like this since we started in business. at the moment, domestic customers are partly shielded from the current price spike because of the price cap and fixed deals, but but big companies like this one are feeling the heat right now. they are charged a new rate for gas each day, reflecting the global market, so the price they are having to pay to run this place feels nearly as high as the temperature. we have little option but to pass these prices on to our customers who will, in theory, pass them onto retail and consumer is and that should be a big concern, i guess, for government and for all of us. we are only a couple of miles down the road but this is where we will all feel the impact because products made using that expensive gas will be hitting the shelves within the next couple of weeks and we will all be having to pay
