also we will see a high of 67 in east san jose. we're in the upper 60s for the east bay. this is about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal. it will be nice to leave the air-conditioning off, and we still have the natural air-conditioning for the coast. it will be cool out there. we will have highs in the upper 60s for the north bay. as we go into tonight, we could see spotty showers once again but it clears out during the day. we will do this all over again tomorrow, because we start out with a high amount of moisture and a chance of some spotty showers, and then it clears out for the afternoon. some of our models picking up on all of the moisture streaming by, and it may bring in drizzle. the dre connid meteor shower happening overnight. i saw a meteor last week and then bought a lottery ticket, but i'm still here, but maybe you will have better luck. once all of the cool and dry weather moves out we will see warmer temperatures and gusting winds, so we will watch out for that starting out on monday as we head toward the mid-70s. we will enjoy the weekend while it's nice

we are watching the east bay and north bay mountains. you are probably already hearing the winds roaring if you are in the hills this morning. the 7-day forecast is now coming up at the bottom of the screen, and while the hills are going to see the highest wind gusts, we're also going to have gusty winds in the valleys. this is where we have the wind advisories pretty much everywhere for the bay area today. wind gusts at 20 to 30 miles per hour. we are also looking at the relative humidity, and let's go through the day and where you see the bright reds that's where the humidity will be the lowest. it drops into the teens this afternoon. santa rosa, napa, novato, you can see the relative humidity numbers critically dry. when the humidity is this low if you get a fire it just spreads more rapidly. when the air is dry, the winds are gusting and it dries out the vegetation even more which is already had a record dry level. going into the overnight hours, we normally see the humidity levels coming up, and it comes up to the 25 to 30% range wh

flag warning, and it's been kicking up dust and that's decreasing our air quality, especially in the east bay. we have seen good air quality in the wind-sheltered valleys, like parts of the north bay but where we have seen the dust coming in from the central valley is the east bay. that's going to be one of the factors as well as we go into the afternoon. you will have to think about that, and also lower humidity. later on today compared to yesterday, take a look at the single digit relatively humidity digits in concord and even down to the south county. when we have low humidity, fires can spread quickly. it looks like we start to make a recovery here. so our temperatures today just coming up a couple more degrees compared to yesterday but still nice and cool with low to mid-70s across the bay area. san francisco up to 65 in the mission district, and our north bay temperatures reaching 73 in santa rosa. go into tomorrow, another system drops in. this will calm the winds but will bring a brief shower for the morning hours. we're reach into the mid-80s in san jose, and then sunday it cools

east bay mud went up about 4%, so we are now at 71% of capacity. for the south bay, it was not a lot but hopefully we will see more rain coming. this is the next storm. we can see all of the space between what we are seeing now and this storm system. it's going to be a few days before it gets here. we will see all of the rain that we had recently soak into the ground, and then also another storm system passing just to the north of us throughout the weekend. then the rain set to move in on monday. it looks like a pretty decent one. we will fine tune how much rain we will see as we get closer. as we look at the outlooks for the next two weeks, through november 9th, we are looking at good rain chances across northern california and hopefully that is also a boost to our sierra snowpack. we are going to see temperatures in the low 70s for the inland areas through the end of the week. some upper 60s for halloween weekend. i think that's perfect for wearing the costumes and heading outside. we will see our rain coming back as we go back to work next week.
