steve, that gun baldwin used was referred to a prop gun. is there any reason why a live round might have been inside the gun's chamber? if not, are there any firewalls in place on the film set to ensure that doesn't happen? >> well, there's no reason to have had a firearm that was capable of discharging live ammo on the set. anything that an actor touches is a prop. so if an actor touches their cellphone, you know, it becomes a prop. but when we say prop gun it means that as a gun that's beenmicically modified so you cannot put live ammo into it. only blanks can pit into it. >> okay, we're having some issues, steve. go again, sorry. we were having some issues. it was hard to hear you and you were pixilated. go again. >> okay. so i was just saying that a prop gun is a gun that's been specifically manufactured for shooting blanks, not bullets. in fact, the bullets won't fit into a gun that's been modified properly, only blanks will fit into it. and that's a safeguard to ensure that live ammo is not loaded into guns that are used on set. so if

with the revolver like what alec baldwin was using, there are chambers. there is the possibility that there was a piece of debris stuck in the chamber or in the barrel. and if the weapon wasn't checked properly before it was brought to set, there's a very good chance that that projectile is what exited the barrel if it was not a live round. and that's something that we'll find out soon, i hope. >> i think is really crucial because you are pointlining out doesn't need to be a live round because the gun would be able to -- just the speed, right, that the projectile itself would function as -- as a -- a bullet, in essence. now, we have learned, to your point about whether it was checked, that the assistant direct or on this film, dave halls, had been fired for a gun incident in 2019 that injured a crew member. and that year, someone who worked with him on another project complained he consistently failed to announce the presence of a firearm on set. so, what do you make of the fact that -- that this is the person who handed the gun over to alec baldwin, give

baldwin. did he exercise the sufficient care? because under the involuntary manslaughter charges in new mexico, you have to show reckless disregard for someone's rights who ultimately results in the individual's death. so all of that has to be investigated. but that's just on the criminal side. then you have the civil side. already it's being reported that it seemed like the set was not being done this a way, exercising the appropriate amount of caution to insure the safety of the individuals participating in the movie. that really rings very clear that there could be civil, a civil responsibility, civil case that will come out of it, a wrongful death case. but here's the rub, if everyone is employed by the studio, let's say it could be a worker's comp claim. but if mr. baldwin is, obviously, he's an independent contractor, he could be sued individually. the prop manager, unless the prop manager is actually an employee of the studio, then of course that would be swift under worker's compensation. but there will likely be some sor

likely alec baldwin will not look at charges. there is an armorer, by all accounts it was her second movie she had worked on, she had expressed her trepidation about her lack of experience, and the assistant director who did not check the firearm before handing it over. there is not supposed to be live ammunition on any movie set so the existence of the ammunition, some of which was live in nature, raises questions about why that happens. the cops seized the firearm in question. the ammunition was not locked up, it was available out on the set. the firearms themselves were locked up in a safe. there's a lot of unanswered questions and we're looking forward to finding out what the results of that investigation is. as a side note, if i were alec baldwin's lawyer, i would be very upset. if you're told not to speak, don't speak. and don't engage with the media or the public about this, because there is an ongoing investigation. >> and by the way, with regard to the rounds of ammunition, i believe it was reported 500 rounds of ammunit
