joey, your thoughts. >> joey: think so much. let me say i lost my legs in afghanistan. it was an absolute blessing to come home i know that every day. i don't hold that against any president or the taliban or anyone. i am at a full peace with it. i am honored to have served in afghanistan. i believe my work there helped people come home safe and that matters to me. but i wanted to take an opportunity i think we have some pictures to talk about couple men i fought alongside and didn't come home. the first was corporal daniel greer. he was a full-time fireman and decided to join the marine reserves and become an engineer which is not an easy job. he thought it was his duty as an american to fight a war to protect our country and seek revenge for 9/11. danny was killed by the ied that took my legs. he didn't make it home. we were injured on august 6 and he took his last breath on august 8th hole you're in germany together. he is a hero. we cannot, cannot forget daniel and the thousands just like him they gave their last breath so that we could stay safe for at least 20 yea

thank you, joey. here tonight also, a afghan interpreter, u.s. army intelligence officer and illinois national guard member who was helping evacuate our allies including his own family out of afghanistan. i really appreciate you being here. we talked briefly earlier about this silver lining, one of the things we have seen which are individuals like yourself going in there and making a difference shockingly as the american government says that well, it's too hard or we don't know where they're or and we know the taliban is blocking the road. you have made a commitment to do this. can you speak to everyone about why you are doing it and the difficulties and what the reaction is with from the people in afghanistan that you are rescuing? >> thank you very much. it's a privilege to be on your show. what i can tell you that i have not been alone. i have been working with extremely committed team. these are men and women of the armed forces. they serve very honorably in our armed forces. they are intelligence professionals. i have been very lucky to hav

joining me on set is fox news contributor staff sergeant joey jones. joey, you served in afghanistan. you sacrificed as much as anything else. your reaction to this drone strike that we just got on the "the ingraham angle." no civilian casualties. what impact does it have? >> take a deep breath. we're all screaming, we aren't we on the offensive to establish a show of force so we don't look like sitting ducks and posture ourselves that way? one think about war is posturing. president trump was pretty good. it matters. posturing is the enemy getting the courage to attack you yesterday. >> like psychological warfare? >> that's what it is, 100%. in this world, posturing means you don't want to provoke your enemy. i'm going to be fair to the biden administration and military leaders. i have a lot of questions. the first is to understand this was not retaliation. this is prevention. make sure -- taking a strike so that they think twice or maybe taking out the person planning their next strike. that is the responsible thing to do. the right thing to do. obvi

joey: let me just paint a picture for you. when i was in afghanistan, one of the last places i went before i got injured was a little patrol base with a hospital with a 12-foot wall around it. t just this big wall projectile, looks like it should be shot out of a cannon. they didn't have any way to guide it. every single day we would get one of these things shot at us. it wasn't super effect if i, but every single day a 200-pound bomb would hit the wall outside of where we were, and it was nothing shy of them having the right equipment kept us alive. and everything past us was no man's land. we weren't able to operate there. this is what kabul is right now except now they have the equipment. now they have probably mortars and guided missiles and drones. and so i think it's really important that people understand, and this is not even to point the blame at the biden administration, it's now more how are we going to combat this. there's so many security protocols, things that we could not do at that airport that we could normall
