vianey our nasa ambassador. really cool to get those stories from you. a live look outside with our live view in san jose. we are going to see a lot of clouds to start but clearing out today. and we've had all of this dry weather. i just got the update of the drought monitor and it's looking pretty bad for us. just a few minutes ago this came out saying that 96% of california is in a drought and you can see how expansive that is. we're not the only ones. it's all across the west. we've seen droughts across the north bay now starting to come down into parts of the east bay. the tri-valley, the delta now included in an extreme drought at this point and we've seen severe drought conditions for the rest of the bay area. one thing that will not help us out too much but is good to see, some rain in our forecast forecast. as we go into saturday, a few spotty showers popping up. sunday, more widespread rain moving through that will linger into early on monday. then back to our dry weather. during that time we could see anywhere from a quarter to a half inch of r

see the new pictures of nasa's ingenuity helicopter taking off and flying 164 feet on the red planet. images were captured by a camera on the mars rover perseverance. this is the third flight ingenuity has pulled off on mars. program leaders are especially excited because the helicopter broke a record going further and faster than any test that they conducted here on earth. another flight is planned in just a few days. >>> it's becoming a famous bunny since the easter bunny. alex the therapy bunny becoming a star after attending the giants game posing for pictures with san francisco police officers. it's a big bunny, too, right? the department posted this photo on twitter saying alex caught the attention of the officers at the warriors game. last thursday alex owner ki brought the bunny to the giants game. ki lost her san francisco restaurant during the pandemic and alex is helping her deal with the setback of it all, but certainly a big, beautiful bunny there. >>> san francisco zoo is celebrating penguins. yesterday was world penguin day. 55 penguins live at the san francisco zoo and
