sadly we lost to firefighters last month in a plane crash in arizona. and five are seriously injured last week battling the devils claim fire in montana. you governors know better than anybody, it is really, really dangerous work. it takes incredible bravery to do it. these heroes deserve to be paid and paid well, for their work. that is why last month, i was able to announce and it is not paying that well in my view to be honest, immediate action to make all federal firefighters taking at least $15 per hour. i think they deserve more than that. we are also working with congress to make sure our firefighters are paid better permanently. permanently. so far, fema has approved 25 management assistant grants totaling up to one had a million dollars to help states pay for the cost of fighting these fires. we are also working with fema and the defense logistical agency to get ahead of this emergency supply chain challenges. we still have supply chain challenges related to hoses and other things. we have tapped additional aircraft in the department of defense
