from our very brief history together, arizona senate president karen fann isn't really somebody who likes to talk to the press but she actually did today and it came after this extremely bizarre senate hearing. that really just read like greatest hits of election conspiracies. and she doubled down on something she had told us, previously. that she believes this audit, this machine count that you're seeing behind me, that's going weeks long now. that it is the starting point for a national movement. here's what she said. >> this is the start of a whole-new industry, probably. much less, a process in the future, where voters are gonna start asking questions. that's it. if you cannot be respectful and do it one at a time, then i'll call it. >> now, that was her getting up and leaving when reporters, like me, we just started asking her questions. presenting her with facts. and she took off. now, republicans were looking to 2022 are watching all of this

praising arizona republicans. despite what arizona-senate president and leader of the effort karen fann publicly says. >> this is not about trump. this is not about overturning the election. this has never been about anything, other than election integrity. >> reporter: her e-mails tell another story. obtained by watchdog group american oversight last month, fann writes in a december e-mail that she spoke with mayor giuliani, at least six times, in two weeks. and mentions a private two-hour meeting with giuliani and the trump-legal team. in november, fann writes she asked the trump-legal team to, please, file a lawsuit to halt vote certification in the state. she tells another voter, last december, about a personal call from president trump thanking us for pushing to prove any fraud. but fann wasn't the only elected official who received calls from the trump orbit. maricopa county board supervisor, bill gates, got a voice mail on christmas day, 2020, from then-trump lawyer rudy giuliani. >> maybe, we can get this

in arizona, a similar so-called audit is still under way months after it began. an audit many election officials in the state have called a sham. joining me right now to talk about this and so much more, the lieutenant governor of pennsylvania, john fedorman running for the u.s. senate next year as a democrat. lieutenant governor, so good to see you. >> hi. thanks for having me. >> okay, so this usualpush for audit after two other legal audits. do you believe that there will be a third? >> no, there won't be a third.

and in philadelphia and pennsylvania, you end one the same situation you in arizona.

this is good for arizona. a week ago, 84% of the state was in the highest two levels of drought. a few days ago when the new drought monitor came out, the number was down to 52% because of rain they've been able to get. the problem is it is not the only state in drought. 96% of the western states are in some level of drought. yes, adding rain into the mix is certainly going to be helpful. the reason we started to see a shift of moisture going from the southwest surging into the pacific northwest, they need it there, too, even if not much. most areas are about an inch or so of rain. remember, doesn't take much to be beneficial. even a half inch of rain, that's it, that's enough to stop spread of the ongoing wildfires. if they're able to get two inches or more, that's enough to extinguish fires. there's plenty of them, not just in washington, but oregon, idaho, montana. 83 active wildfires out there. yes, jessica, they could certainly need any rain at this point would be beneficial for a lot of the areas. >> sure looks like it. allison chinchar, thanks so much. >>> hi, everyone. th

i'm sure you saw that alexandria ocasio-cortez tore into kyrsten sinema, arizona senator who said she is not on board with the other bill, which is a $3 plus trillion bill that democrats want to push forward using the budget process. how are you going to navigate this chasm in your party? >> well, we're going to keep working and talking to members. what we're going to do with the infrastructure bill is remind people the historic investment. remind people of the racial equity that's embedded throughout this bill. and then we will make the case very hard. and then members and i used to be one will have to make a hard decision whether you want to leave 10 million people with lead service lines going to their homes? do you want to leave 400,000 homes lead service lines going to children? we have to make sure that we're focussed on the issue and delivering results. i think that when we do that, we will navigate this. look, legislating is a messy, ugly process. it's the sausage-making process. most is not done out in the public to the extent it is, we know that that's the process and we'll

. >> arizona's democratic senator kyrsten sinema said today she does not support the other infrastructure bill. how much does that complicate things? >> well, it certainly had a lot of people up here nervous on the democratic side of things when day saw sinema come out and make such a bold statement, particularly on such an important day. and it could complicate things. now, sinema did make it clear that she is going to vote for the budget resolution, which is the framework to begin the negotiations around that budget package. but that, she's uncomfortable with that price tag of $3.5 trillion. and those house progressives that we talked about, before, reacted strongly to sinema making that statement. saying that they are much more concerned about that reconciliation package and, perhaps, they won't vote for the bipartisan deal, as a result. but everybody up here believes that this is just part of the long-term negotiating process. that this is kyrsten sinema and joe manchin just finding a way to get what they want in this package. and ultimately, when push comes to shove, they will vote f

bump along those lines today because kyrsten sinema, one of the key negotiators, the democrat from arizona in the bipartisan package, said that she's not yet on board with that big $3.5 trillion package. now, even though these are two separate pieces of legislation, both white house, chuck schumer, and nancy pelosi have said that they're moving along dual tracks, meaning you can't have one without the other. sinema said she's open to the budget resolution passing, which means she appears willing to negotiate. but even though they're going to get a big victory here, it is a sign that is till a long road to go before both things are passed through the congress, and then eventually making it to president biden's desk. >> let's go to phil in pennsylvania. phil, how does president biden feel about this deal? >> well, jake, the president told reporters earlier today he was confident in the deal. you can't really overstate how much the president wanted this deal for a number of different reasons. but perhaps most primarily because of the investment in physical infrastructure, hundreds of billions
