think about a place like georgia where the atlanta suburbs have been booming, not so much in the other parts in the state. you have to readjust those congressional lines am you can gain or lose a seat as a party just because, even if you are not gaining or losing a congressional district, right. the good news for democrats, they have more control over the process than they did in 2010, the last time the lines were drawn. the bad news for democrats, the good news for republicans is that republicans still control more than twice as many congressal district lines in terms of, they have total control for drawing that many more lines. that is likely to help, as i said, especially in places that are fast growing, texas, north carolina, but also in a place like georgia where democrats have made really big gains in these last two years, but republicans control the entire line drawing process. and so what you may see there is democrats actually winning two senate seats but in the next upcoming election they may lose a congressional district. >> so much depends on who controls these states, the

correspondent jonathan serrie has details tonight from atlanta. good evening, jonathan. >> good evening to you, shannon. investigators are still trying to determine a motive. the gunman forced his way into the home of that prominent doctor who lived just outside of rock hill, normally a quiet town in upstate south carolina. 70-year-old dr. robert wesley and his wife barbara and two grandchildren ages 9 and 5 were found dead inside the home. the gunman also shot two air conditioning technicians 38-year-old james lewis was found dead outside the doctor's house. his co-worker called for help and is now hospitalized with severe gunshot wounds. and is fighting hard for his life, according to his cousin. the york county sheriff says it does not appear the gunman took anything from the home but he did leave evidence that led investigators to a immediately identify the suspect as former nfl player philip adams. >> we have no indication right now that there was a doctor-patient relationship between dr. leslie and philip aadams. >> authorities found adams d

week president biden said he supports moving this year's a major league baseball all-star game out of atlanta in response to the law. joining me now, "wall street journal" columnist kim strassel, editorial board member kyle peterson and dan henninger. so, kyle, you've followed this law from the very beginning. is it voter suppression? >> well, there's a lot in the law, but i would say, no, not really. so something that joe biden keeps saying, he's said it two or three times now, is that they're closing polling places at 5 p.m. just when working people are getting off. that's just not true. the law has some mandatory minimum hours for early voting, 9-5. analysts who have looked at this are saying, essentially, that means places that are shorter than that, that offer less than that right now are going to have to expand, but counties can also offer voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. which is plenty for these metropolitan areas. so that's just one example of something that's in the law that is an expansion of voting and is being cast completely the opposite way. paul: well, if i'm not mistaken, this ac
