correspondent jonathan serrie has details tonight from atlanta. good evening, jonathan. >> good evening to you, shannon. investigators are still trying to determine a motive. the gunman forced his way into the home of that prominent doctor who lived just outside of rock hill, normally a quiet town in upstate south carolina. 70-year-old dr. robert wesley and his wife barbara and two grandchildren ages 9 and 5 were found dead inside the home. the gunman also shot two air conditioning technicians 38-year-old james lewis was found dead outside the doctor's house. his co-worker called for help and is now hospitalized with severe gunshot wounds. and is fighting hard for his life, according to his cousin. the york county sheriff says it does not appear the gunman took anything from the home but he did leave evidence that led investigators to a immediately identify the suspect as former nfl player philip adams. >> we have no indication right now that there was a doctor-patient relationship between dr. leslie and philip aadams. >> authorities found adams d

major league baseball moving the all-star game out of atlanta in protest. the republican governor calling it a cancel culture move. and there are some surprising reactions to boycotts from leading georgia democrats. abc's steve osunsami is in atlanta. >> reporter: it's a strong message tonight from major league baseball to republican lawmakers who just passed and signed new voting restrictions in georgia. baseball commissioner robert manfred jr. is siding with a good number of black americans and business leaders who believe that the new rules are voter suppression, saying, "i have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year's all-star game and mlb draft." >> major league baseball just caved to the pressure. >> reporter: this week the president came out encouraging this. >> i would strongly support them doing that. people look to them, they're leaders. >> reporter: but this is money and business we're talking about, and even many georgia democrats who fought the new rules are not happy with baseball's decisions.

blaine, what's the word in atlanta? >> they are taking the all-star game from atlanta, and the lead commissioner kind of said it was a herculean effort to move something like this, but they're doing it, anyway, to demonstrate their values as a league and a sport. here in georgia, there is one thing republicans and democrats can agree on, that they're not happy it's moving out of the state. yes, at the end of the day, it's going to be georgia businesses, georgia workers, the number of businesses and hotels near the park that will actually be suffering and feel the impact of this. but we're also seeing a very big case of finger pointing. democrats, of course, pointing at republicans saying it's the republican-led state legislature that put the state in this position, but as you just heard from georgia governor brian kemp, of course he is a staunch defender -- >> i'm sorry to interrupt. the trial has resumed and this is the questioning of the chief of police of the minneapolis police department. let's go back in. >> again,
