This is a recording of Pacoh and some Katu. This is a recording from Alan Lomax's Parlametrics collection. These recordings were made by linguists around the world as well as by Lomax himself. They have been digitized from the original reel-to-reel tapes. The original notes which accompanied the tapes were often either incomplete, indefinite, illegible or missing. It is primarily High Pacoh, except when Plam the Katu speaks or sings. Richard L Watson, SIL. Watson writes 15 Dec 1971: Most of the speakers were close friends who have been captured by the Viet Kong and who I may never see again. The material could in several respects never be gotten again. Watson writes 8-8-2006: Although I was a source of the material, I must acknowledge the Pacoh and Katu speakers who may or may not be living, and the country of VietNam that claims them.
