FOR-SITE's Sanctuary featured contemporary rugs reflecting on sanctuary, designed by 36 artists from 21 different countries, offering visitors a
multiplicity of perspectives on the basic human need for refuge,
protection, and sacred ground.
The evening’s presentation about the global refugee crisis included a post-film discussion with retired Rooftop School teacher Susan Sanford, who shared her experiences working at the One Happy Family Community Center in Lesvos, Greece.
