As a lover of all things nostalgic and good, you'll certainly appreciate the dulcet tones of Peter Rojas, Engadget founder, major proponent of All Things Good With Tech, and the original voice of the Engadget Podcast, on this edition of the Engadget Podcast. There's a lot of thought work to be done on the week's news, fraught with patent kerfuffles, Android editions, and listener questions, and we do believe we've done the heavy lifting -- with Peter's help. Come join us.

Your host Brian Heater is pushing the boundaries of his vocal cords to bring you another episode this week, joined by Marc Perton and Peter Rojas. Brian was on stage at Expand for most of the past weekend, wearing out his dulcet-toned speaking voice with the best and brightest of the tech industry, and the crew takes a look back at the event's highlights. We also review this week's happenings, with Snapchat turning down Facebook's $3 billion offer, the international market gaining a few...

This CES: all about the HDTVs. On this CES 2008 episode of the podcast we're talking TV with Engadget HD editor Ben Drawbaugh -- as well as a bit about Lenovo's grand new consumer computing brand plan. We also caught up with our pal Charles over at Virgin America, who talked with us a bit about the airlines nascent plans to get you online during your next flight.

Your well-rested host, Brian Heater is back from his sabbatical and he's joined by Dana Wollman and Joseph Volpe to talk about Google's timely Halloween release of Android 4.4 KitKat, Sony's new SmartWatch 2 and the benefits of having a curved smartphone. No one dressed up for the holiday, but if they had a choice of eerie Engadget doppelgangers: Joseph would pick Winona Ryder over a skinny Vin Diesel and Dana's vocal stand-in would be Schwarzenegger, simply for the giggles. You won't need to...

It's the big one-five-zero, people, and you know what that means: absolutely nothing. We've got news to talk about, after all -- we'll leave the extensive accolades and embarrassing praise for the history books. If you hadn't guessed, this week's show is a bit heavy on the Apple sauce, so the squeamish should turn away before it's too late. Those inclined, however, to dive into MacBook SKUs and wax philosophical about the iPhone as a platform will likely get their money's worth. It'll be fun,...

You also get to hear Josh, Paul, and Nilay mix it up about their hopes for the future, next jewelry purchases, and Gmail contact syncing nightmares. Sounds badical, right?

The podcast is a little late this week, but for good reason -- special guest Michael Gartenberg joins Josh, Paul, and Nilay this week as they sort through the Google-dominated week in news. We've got Chrome OS, the myTouch 3G, some more HTC Hero hands-on time (as well as a Magic flashed with the Hero ROM), and the leaked Sony Ericsson Rachael on tap -- oh, and to top it all off, Sony backtracked huge and released its first true netbook, the VAIO W. A somewhat sombre duo addresses the passing of the man whose invention gave birth to podcasting itself. They also talk about tablets and cars, so don't worry about a thing. It's the Engadget Podcast...still hungry, with respect and humility.

With something old, and something new (we'll let you figure out what), this podcast has the makings of a wedding. There's even a brief mention of something blue... hmmm.

We’re making some big changes to the Podcast in the next couple of weeks, but we felt so bad about last week’s glitchy audio that we turned the QC way up this time around—and to match our better sounding, um, sound and higher bitrate recordings, we whipped up a cute little logo graphic instead of our old onolithic iPod imagery. But hey, that can change too—let us know what you think! Anyhow, Peter’s back from Iceland, and we’ve got some interesting things ahead between Moto’s big...

Join us for an out-of-this-world episode with Joseph, @terrenceobrien and Ben (who's Skyping in from the land of blue skies and balmy weather). Experience Mars with Sony's Project Morpheus, hear Joseph's pitch for virtual reality installations at arcades around the country, and learn the truth about your pet cat -- spoiler alert: it's an alien. We've heard that robots are coming soon to a wrist near you courtesy of Google's new Android Wear platform, but is the wearable world ready for a...

Ben Gilbert is joined by Engadget editor and former Best Buy celeb Chris Velazco, along with our social media guru John Colucci who's managed to drag himself away from Grumpy Cat and 3D-printed Oreos long enough to share his thoughts on SXSW. While Ben flexes his verbal Shaq Fu to keep the podcast on track, the real Shaquille is actually scheduled to host a panel on wearables at the Austin event this week. There's a good deal of strange news to talk about, but none quite as odd as Dorian...

It wouldn't be CES without the Engadget Podcast, right? That's why we're back today with the first in a series of special CES edition podcasts with hosts Ryan Block and Peter Rojas. In today's installment we go over a bunch of the biggest announcements of the past few days, including Warner's HD DVD bombshell; the news that Sony is adding Skype to the PSP, introducing a new mylo, and bringing the Rolly to the States; Alienware's curved ultrawidescreen panoramic gaming display; and Apple's...

Things are heating up in the podcast studio this week and it's either Terrence's cardigan, Amazon's new Fire TV or the residual effects of Joseph's encounter with a real action hero. There's also a pile of news that came out of Microsoft's Build conference, which isn't surprising considering how long it dragged on. Redmond's own has released Windows Phone 8.1 -- complete with notifications (!) and the Cortana voice-search tool -- amidst a flurry of other news. Having had a few days with...

This week in consumer electronics was full of culture. Or maybe it was full of color -- we're not quite sure what the difference might be, but there was a lot of weird / cool news in the CEO, handheld gaming, and tablet worlds. The point is, we've got another weird / cool podcast on our hands that you haven't listened to yet and you need to take care of that, like, five minutes ago.

CES may have been the big deal on the 8th, but as soon as Jobs took the stage at Macworld, any news coming out of CES suddenly didn't seem to matter a whole lot. We give the iPhone the attention it deserves, but it's not everything that happens while North America's biggest trade show is happening 550 miles away. Chris Grant, Ben Drawbaugh and Paul Miller join us to talk about the rest of the day's news.

It's been one hell of a month, hasn't it? New Palm phones, new iPhones, a big Kindle, that Natal thing... LL Cool J. Yes, a lot has happened in the past few weeks, and it's tough to contain all of that activity inside one teensy podcast -- but we've tried. Join Josh, Paul, and Nilay for another adventurous adventure through time, space, and love as they explore the deeper meanings of the cosmos, the universe, and consumer facing gadgetry. If you don't love the way you feel after listening to...

What's with all the negativity, man? It's summer time and we'd think everybody'd be at the beach or drinking a beer, and yet it seems like we can't get through a week without this company or that going at another's throats -- or just laying down dead. EchoStar and TiVo have been really heating up this past week, but we really, um, exploded with the news that they are launching what amounts to be the largest consumer product recall in recent memory -- possibly in the history of consumer...

We thought about calling this podcast "Unchained Melody" or "The Engadget Podcast: RAW" but our COO got a little concerned about violating some sort of intellectual property laws, so you just get the plain vanilla name. Regardless, it is quite a monster, complete with a radio play set in an AT&T store and 3-D versions of Jerry Seinfeld and Jar-Jar Binks. Dunno how else we can sell you on this one.
