this maryland officer is dead following a gun battle... authorities say police were going about their business sunday... when a gunman fired at the first officer he saw outside the prince george police station. jacai colson was killed. "an unwarranted, unprovoked attack on our police officers at a police station. absolutely, unprecedented and unacceptable." other officers returned fire and hit one suspect, who is expected to survive. a second suspect was also arrested. colson was a four-year veteran of the department and served as an undercover narcotics officer. he would have celebrated his 29th birthday later this week. al-qaida is now claiming responsibility for an attack on a beach resort on
