water and islands to better see the populated areas of the city, and we are setting up the application form so people can view public comment that's been submitted. at this point, now that we have an account, we are updating the handouts and getting translations for those instructions, and once those are ready, we will post those to get ready to accept public comment. and we're also updating the redistricting tool user guide to make some usability and accessibility improvements and implementing an interactive version of the data maps with
demographic information from the american media survey. so those are the updates that i have to give, and i'd be happy to answer any questions at this point. >> thank you so much. members, do you have any questions? mr. carroll, are there any hands raised? >> clerk: yes. mr. chair, first, i see jeremy lee wishing recognition. >> jeremy lee. >> so mr. chair, thank you so much. i'm not familiar with air table. at a very high level, can you, like, describe how air table would be, like, used and how, like, the information would be provided to us? >> i'll answer the question from member lee. i'm seth neal, from q2
research. the air table will probably be used both to have a submission form where people can write in text and also upload files. the files that we'll be uploading are the mapping, the shape files, and the pdfs from the statewide and community of interest tool so they can provide actual lines, geographic files that can be used to represent their communities. so the public would interact with that both to submit their comment through a web form, and then also to view comments that have been made in a data table. so it would look -- it looks like a spreadsheet, more or less. would just be text responses and links to file where we can download them and offering some filtering and sorting, for instance, by submission date or name or things like that.

can we have the next caller? >> hi. this is [indiscernible] san francisco. thank you for [indiscernible] for air table. if people want to see how air table is used for redistricting, you can go to the california redistricting commission website because they currently use air table for their submission form on-line as well as all the submissions that they get both on-line and through mail. you can see i guess what the database or the sheet would look like in the public input phase on the california redistricting commission's website. the only downside that i'd mention about air table would be they're pdfs, but the images

special meeting scheduled at any point. and the question earlier about the educational plans for the public is a good one. you know, this is a way to put some clarity on the outreach plan, but having materials available on your website that allow people to -- who can attend meetings to get a demo, to see it live and in action, would be very helpful. not everyone's going to be able to attend a meeting, which is great that they can review the materials so that the time that you're going to spend with the public will be more productive, and that's the only suggestion i have for them. thank you so much for all of this. >> clerk: thank you for sharing your comments. mr. atkins, do we have any

>> right before the game starts, if i'm still on the field, i look around, and i just take a deep breath because it is so exciting and magical, not knowing what the season holds is very, very exciting. it was fast-paced, stressful, but the good kind of stressful, high energy. there was a crowd to entertain, it was overwhelming in a good way, and i really, really enjoyed it. i continued working for the grizzlies for the 2012-2013
season, and out of happenstance, the same job opened up for the san francisco giants. i applied, not knowing if i would get it, but i would kick myself if i didn't apply. i was so nervous, i never lived anywhere outside of fridays fridays -- fresno, and i got an interview. and then, i got a second interview, and i got more nervous because know the thought of leaving fresno and my family and friends was scary, but this opportunity was on the other side. but i had to try, and lo and behold, i got the job, and my first day was january 14, 2014. every game day was a puzzle, and i have to figure out how to put the pieces together. i have two features that are 30 seconds long or a minute and a 30 feature. it's fun to put that al
together and then lay that out in a way that is entertaining for the fans. a lucky seat there and there, and then, some lucky games that include players. and then i'll talk to lucille, can you take the shirt gun to the bleachers. i just organize it from top to bottom, and it's just fun for me. something, we don't know how it's going to go, and it can be a huge hit, but you've got to try it. or if it fails, you just won't do it again. or you tweak it. when that all pans out, you go oh, we did that. we did that as a team. i have a great team. we all gel well together. it keeps the show going. the fans are here to see the teams, but also to be entertained, and that's our job. i have wonderful female role
models that i look up to here at the giants, and they've been great mentors for me, so i aspire to be like them one day. renelle is the best. she's all about women in the workforce, she's always in our corner. [applause] >> i enjoy how progressive the giants are. we have had the longer running until they secure day. we've been doing lgbt night longer than most teams. i enjoy that i work for an organization who supports that and is all inclusive. that means a lot to me, and i wouldn't have it any other way. i wasn't sure i was going to get this job, but i went for it, and i got it, and my first season, we won a world series
