physical contact. yeah board about 25 minutes, guys. that's the sporting life. for now, that's impressive. that's impressive. for mark. thank you so much next at 11. breaking news tonight signs out on bay area freeways, calling attention to the search for missing child from the sacramento area. the 11 o'clock news on ktvu. fox news starts now. hello again. i'm andre senior and i'm cristina rendon. let's get right to that breaking news, an amber alert issued in alameda and contra costa county is just over an hour ago. police say leo norville was abducted in sacramento just before five p.m. this evening. he is three years old, three ft. tall £35 and has brown hair and brown eyes. police say he is with 30 year old joshua yea go. diego is five ft 10 inches tall £180 and has brown hair and brown eyes. take a look at the vehicle. the chp is asking everyone to be on the lookout for a great 2011. bmw 3

28 i with california plates. those plate numbers six and t u 367. and tonight, east bay freeway signs illuminated with that license plate number. we're told iago may have reason to visit hayward or oakland and police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. you're asked to call 911 if you see the suspect the child or the car. we will bring you any updates as we get them. well none of this. we're learning more tonight about a fire that leaves a family in brentwood. grieving that fire killed a man and his dog. his stepson is fighting for his life and at the same time to family members are without a home. ktvu amberleigh met tonight with the fire incident commander and a family member. it was a simple man. quite and, uh, very honest. hard worker torture. sandoval is grieving the loss of his father he sues sandoval, affectionately known as jesse, the retired farm

worker was killed in the brentwood home, where he raised his family. he taught us myself and my brothers. you know how to be, uh, good people. on thi night, neighbors lit candles and said prayers for sandoval. he lost his life thursday afternoon when a far broke out at his home. italian chief gil guerrero tells me it appears to have started in the kitchen area. the exact cost is still under investigation. the stove was not on, but it is believed that there was a pot on the stove that could have contributed to the fire. pereiro says there was a fire crew nearby and was able to respond in six minutes. firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to nearby homes and next door neighbor tells me he's relieved that his home had only minor smoke and water damage at that. this whole thing was just took it off. you know that was like it was really. it was scary. fire officials tell me there was no smoke detector in the home. they say a second victim,

sandoval, stepson was napping in a back bedroom when the fire broke out. the 65 year old is now fighting for his life at a burn center in san francisco. sandoval's dog, chico chihuahua was found dead in the kitchen. check on my dad. it was just like i said, it's up, boy. was he loved that dog. the fire has displaced to other relatives who live in the home. they're now staying with family members also shocks hard to believe. what happened. chief guerrero tells me the exact cause of the fire won't be known until next week. he's urging everyone to have working smoke detectors in their homes. the family has said it would go fund me to help with expenses in brentwood, amberleigh ktvu, fox two news. new at 11 police in concord or investigating a rollover crashe, said one driver to the hospital. the other driver left the scene. this happened at 10 35 this morning on detroit avenue. investigators say mercedes sedan slammed into a ford sedan that was traveling south bend on

detroit avenue. the force of the impact caused the ford to flip onto its roof. the mercedes kept going. the driver of the ford was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for a minor injury. police in san francisco arrested a woman in connection with the crash that killed a para educator earlier this week. the collision happened wednesday morning at union and franklin streets outside sherman elementary. and that is where the victim 30 year old andrew zemun worked. police say seven year old susan better ruchi ran a red light caused a collision between multiple vehicles in one of those cars, jumped the curb and hit zemun. this didn't have to happen. there this is like a highway. it's a one way street that goes downhill with time lights immediately adjacent to an elementary school with over 300 children coming in and out every day. on the suspect was arrested on scene on vehicular manslaughter charges. a public high school in palo alto, under fire now admit allegations of

violent and racist bullying on campus boys claimed they were the victims of repeated racist language and violent physical attacks. and his ktvu zach sauce reports. they say administrators did not do enough to protect them. quote pummeled with fists and kicks, just one of the alleged attacks, detailed in a court filing submitted by attorneys representing the parents of six boys, a gun high school in palo alto. the document detailing how they were allegedly the victims of violent and racist bullying. in one incident, attorneys saying several of the boys were gained up on in a bathroom. quote. the boys screamed for help in the bathroom, but no help came one sent to the emergency room with a bleeding ear and two others to the nurse. that same day, another student from the group allegedly attacked before physique glass, resulting in head injuries. the students responsible suspended friday. some students just learning about what took place honestly pretty surprised because, like i would assume that there has to be bullying to some degree like at a new school. why would i

didn't really realize like this man of it, according to the court, filing, the onslaught of rachel slurs and bullying began in september. the targeted students include one who is black, repeatedly called the n word and five others were of european or middle eastern descent. attorneys say the students parents contacted the school and despite assurances that their children would be protected. the hazing only got worse. at one point, the students taking two weeks off from school to avoid the attacks as appearance. you know, i don't want anything like this to affect my kids. at the same token, i don't want this to affect any kids. to that matter. this is not the first time gun high school in the district has come under fire to separate sexual assaults including taunting were reported at the school in 2000 and 17 and 2000 and 19. gunn high school principal wendy stratton, responding to the latest accusations in a statement friday, saying, quote palo alto unified school district takes reports of bullying and

harassment seriously. one request for a transfer was granted, although the recipient declined unless it's friends were also transferred. the aggressors were immediately disciplined, consistent with protocols and protective measures are in place. in palo alto, zach sauce, ktvu, fox two news. new tonight. u s appeals court today upheld its decision to put on hold president biden's covid vaccine mandate for private companies. the order would have been enforced by osha for any business with 100 or more employees. the circuit court panel in new orleans affirmed an earlier ruling. despite the biden administration's argument, it could lead to hundreds of death, the judge said. the mandate is quote staggeringly overboard. and ordered the white house to take no further action. also need an id nursing homes are being told to welcome back all visitors today, the centers for medicare and medicaid instructed facilities. to lift pandemic restrictions on visiting nursing homes will no longer be able to limit the frequency and length of visits or require advanced scheduling. the government is

still discouraging against large group visits and urging residents, families and facility staff to keep their guard up. against outbreaks. that recommendation comes as health officials warn of a possible fifth covid surge cases are spiking in more than a dozen states and hospitalizations are on the rise. hospitals and colorado are so overwhelmed that officials there have enacted crisis standards of care with the national guard, helping out and staffing some hospitals. at least three fema medical search teams have been deployed. health officials here in california and the bay area are urging everyone over 18 to get a booster shot if it's been six months since their last. there is now a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the murder of jasper route. the 23 month old was struck by a bullet while riding in a car on the interstate 80 80 last weekend. as ktvu and rubin explains. authorities hope that money will be the incentive will witness needs to come forward. nearly a week has passed and still no

arrest in the murder of 23 month old jasper wou. he was asleep in the back of his mother's car when he was struck by a bullet on interstate 8 80. today his heart broken family released a statement. we are pleading for the shooters or anyone with information to come forward. so that a tragedy like this. will never happen again to anyone. now oakland's chinatown chamber of commerce hopes a $10,000 reward might help. they're also looking at putting up a billboard explaining how to report a tip. so people can see something say something, but most important, do something they believe community involvement will be the key to solving this case. we need people to feel remorseful for this family. we need people to feel empathy for what happened, and we need people to think about. what if this was a child of yours. oakland police chief says they're working with chp on the case but have little progress to announce so far. obviously we are follow up following up on some leads that

from a tesla driver was filed with the national highway traffic safety administration. the complaint says the driver was beta testing tesla's full self driving software. when the car crossed into the wrong lane and was hit by another vehicle, the complaint says. the vehicle 2021 tesla model y gave the driver an alert. halfway through the turn. the driver tried to turn the wheel to avoid other traffic but was unable to do so. no one was injured. tesla has not commented, though on the claim. kaiser hospital is warning its patients about a week long strike set to begin on monday at its pharmacies over

exhibits a diverse community of live animals and walking avery. the facility underwent a complete, rebuild and redesigne, nearly doubling in size. museum officials say one of the goals was to make the facility accessible to everyone despite disabilities. we've had people that represent various disabilities in the community serve on an advisory board through design, construction commissioning, and here it is. come on out. or right now, the palo alto junior museum and zoo is only open weekends. but next month they will be expanding hours. holiday events are happening again in person. tomorrow, the diablo ballet has to nutcracker performances there first and almost two years. ktvu deborah villalon has more now from tonight's show in walnut creek. the familiar music, the beloved characters. diablo ballet presents an hour long nutcracker set at san francisco's fairmont hotel, where clare diablo falls in love

with the bell hawk who turns into the nutcracker prince. as the curtain goes up, you feel the energy even though we look out to black. it's been 21 months since diablos 12 professional dancers where on stage for an in person audience. it's been a long time, so i think there's obviously a little bit of nerves. um but i think once we hear the audience again, um it's gonna be really reporting you ladies doing okay? co founder loren jonas, a diablo dancer at its beginnings had nutcracker roles since childhood to lose the seasonal favorite during covid. it left the whole for sure. and i think it did for all of the dancers, but now audiences seem ready and ticket sales strong. a turning point for live arts at seems like this is really the time. that everyone is fully getting back. and so how wonderful that it's happening around the holidays go

in rehearsal for weeks. the nutcracker company of 34 also includes student dancers, teenagers for this production so they could all be fully vaccinated and everyone is covid tested weekly as well. during their hiatus, the students and prose work to stay sharp and stay in condition with virtual shows. but when you see a live audience. it's like it's like you actually have the feel of this stage instead of just being in your comfort zone you get to like, step out of your comfort zone thing and step out. they have. feeling the love of the audience and the joy of performance again. probably my favorite part is the finale when we're all on stage together, and we all get to about, um, you know, really just shows all of us together and all the hard work and we're really just thinking the audience for coming to experience that in walnut creek deborah villalon ktvu. fox two news. for the weekend.

almost here. we're talking about two things. first, some dense fog and then some pretty warm temperatures for the afternoon hours. in fact, temperatures do you neighborhoods could be inching closer to 80 degrees this weekend? just amazing. take a look at some of the highest from this afternoon, lots of seventies out there for san francisco and oakland san jose 75 if you sixties where the fog kind of kept the temperatures and check for some of the inland valleys this afternoon. now for this weekend. once again the fog will be a factor for the morning hours, clearing skies into the afternoon, and that will be the same story as we head into sunday. dense fog advisory in place until 11 o'clock tomorrow morning not only out toward the central valley but also towards solano county, and recently added some of the inland valleys as you can't see conquered san ramon and livermore. we have some low visibilities developing right now could be near zero first thing tomorrow morning, so we'll see if this dense fog advisory expands to include to include other portions of the bay area for tomorrow morning, satellite showing you an energetic jetstream up here to our north, but to no rainfall

for us just yet it looks like a dry weekend. current numbers. you can see santa rosa 50 to san francisco. 60 san jose 58 me showing you the visibility's they are coming down near zero right about that point out toward concord right now, so you want to be very careful. driving around tonight into tomorrow morning, santa rosa, quarter of mile and near zero right around 04 and nevada. so the fog is doing its thing. it's not over the entire bay area, but where it is. it's very dense, and it will impact your visibility. first thing tomorrow morning. overnight lows. start out your weekend will be in the forties to the fifties. and here is the setup of the forecast model. that's definitely picking up on some of that fog tomorrow morning, and then into the afternoon hours. there's the eventual temperature range with those readings in the mid sixties to the mid seventies, so warm to hot the hearts basically down towards southern california temperatures there in the lower nineties today. but dense valley fog overnight. we talked a lot about that storm track is up here. so we have our dry weather pattern our next chance of a light sprinkle or a shower and
