harder to get a covid test in francisco. the city's department of public health announced today it is reducing test hours at 4 sites. officials say it's because of staffing shortages and an increased processing time for the test. >> here are the updated hours. the site at the la he'll host center will now close 3 hours earlier at 2 in the afternoon hours at the southeast health center are only shortened on monday's opening at 11 the rest of the week. the center will open at 8 in the morning. the element ella many farmers market site will now shut down at 6 in the evening. and the testing site in soma at 7th and brandon will now open at
noon. the department of health says these time reductions are temporary, but at this point, no word on when they will return to full capacity. the omicron variant has forced more city offices around the bay area to close their doors. police in pinole of close the public safety building until further notice. >> an old joins other departments in the bay area that have shuttered offices temporarily in the past week due to covid newark, close city and police offices. those will reopen on january 18th. hayward city hall offices are closed on fridays for the entire month of january. brent would close their city hall police headquarters and unit municipal services center until further notice. and the city of vallejo is close. city hall through february. 28. >> east bay health officials in contra costa county are now requiring first responders to receive a booster shot. kron four's. charles clifford has the story. well, here in contra costa county covid-19 cases continue to surge. health services says the
omicron variant of covid-19 is mainly to blame amongst the people who are getting sick. the unvaccinated make up the majority. >> people who are vaccinated also falling ill, but people who are vaccinated and boosted make up the smallest percentage of new cases. now for that reason, health services has decided to booster mandate for many of its first responders as of monday, january law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical responders and people who work in hospitals, jails and nursing homes across contra costa county must prove they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster shot against covid-19. the new rules also apply to non-emergency ambulance workers, county health services says the new requirement is necessary to slow the spread of the omicron variant of coronavirus and keep hospitals and emergency services from being overwhelmed by sick patients and staffing shortages. now, any workers who are not vaccinated or who have not received a booster shot must show a negative covid-19 test on a weekly basis in contra

news to tell you about. sonoma county is now issuing a new health order that bans large events. officials are also asking people to stay home as much as possible for the next 30 days. the announcement was just made moments ago. the health officer in sonoma county is asking residents to limit interactions with people outside of their immediate household as the omicron variant continues to spread and for the next 30 days, large indoor gatherings of more than 50 people and large outdoor gatherings of more than 100 people. when social distancing is not possible, will be prohibited. this includes wedding venues. the health order goes into effect on wednesday and will last until february. 11th. >> older cell phones that still use a 3 g network to connect may soon. stop working. so providers are shutting down their 3 g and that could also leave older

of some sunshine, some high clouds kind of drifting overhead throughout the day tomorrow. 65 degrees in redwood city, mild. 66, very woodside about 63 in mount 65 degrees in san mateo, santa clara valley filled with many and numbers running well into the 60's tomorrow afternoon. 67 in campbell. 67 in sunnyvale and 67 degrees for our friends in santa clara, east bay numbers. you're going to see a lot of 60's. it will be mild in many spots tomorrow afternoon as high pressure kind of sits overhead, that ridge will stick around. it's going to fluctuate over the next few days. but i think overall should keep us mainly dry. we are going to see an increase of some clouds a little bit later on the week. right now. we're a kind of a nice pattern and just enough to dry us out just a bit. so 66 degrees, it will be mostly sunny with a few high clouds and samara fell. 64 mill valley, you'll find cooler numbers along the since beach, mainly in the 50's. next couple of days. here we go. high pressure overhead. temperatures looking nice for tomorrow. slightly cooler on wednesday and thursday, a few more clouds begin to move into
