we knew this would be a tough one to 3 minutes later, cousin. dalvin cook you hate to see that. he gets hurt. he loses the ball. the forty-niners recovery that outside here. forty-niners are going to other wake her cook it down. he was carted off the field and. he was later ruled out with a dislocated shoulder. tough break. no pun intended. alright seconds later. first and goal. deebo samuel to this time. he goes down. and live. he's shaking up to he would leave the game under his own power but was of scoring injuries spoke about it after the game. hopefully he will be alright having such a great season 4th quarter now vikings 4th and goal. it's too high for justin for and. that
after a defensive stop, the niners need it. they thought they'd ice the game here. but robbie wide, right. kyle shanahan cannot believe it under a minute to go now last-ditch effort by vikings. kirk cousins throwing a high with doing that. all game. that'll do it. the forty-niners go on to win this game 34 to 26 and our very own kate rooney with that levi's the check out all the action. >> you don't typically find a playoff atmosphere for a 5, 5, team in week 12 of the nfl season. but that's exactly what the forty-niners got here today at levi stadium as they beat the minnesota vikings 34 to 26 these were 2 teams in the hunt for a playoff spot. so there's a lot on the line and now the forty-niners find themselves in good position. they've won 3 in a row and they moved up to 6 in the nfc playoff standings. but he
knows there's still a lot of football left to be played. but the wind today, as jimmy garoppolo might say, feels great baby. we're excited. you know, our defense, you know, we had a turnover early and our defense comes right back. and they get 2 turnovers. >> shot disease. and our guys are stepping up in a that's that's been our that's what killed us early on. as you said, so many turnovers in our defense was and now we're helping us out a little bit and that allowed us to get that one is a lot of to have leave the is excited again. >> it was a really hard fought game. so we're all pretty they don't make it easy on the so. definitely excited fun or to have a victory monday, then to. >> you're looking at a loss is very exciting. you know, a lot to see we are right now. you know, it was 2 teams in that for us to come. and if they win, it was big. but you know, we can't we can't go to can be satisfied. got to go back to
work and i got a game next week. now the forty-niners are 6, 5, and they're headed to seattle for a date with the seahawks next week. so they're going to want to be full strength for that one couple important injuries today, deebo samuel and fred warner both left the game. >> and did not return. they're awaiting mri is tomorrow. so the forty-niners are hoping for good results on that front at levi stadium. kate rooney, sports night live. >> thanks for that report. kate. the story of the day was the niners rushing attack. they dominated the vikings in the trenches. the niners had 208 rushing yards. a 133 of them by this guy. elijah mitchell. what a year he is having his rookie year at u l lafayette. and then there's both samuel. he 66 of them. also 2 rushing touchdowns, including that one. getting this depot is just the 3rd player in nfl history with 1000 receiving yards. 5
receiving touchdowns and 5 rushing touchdowns. the only other 2 marshall faulk and roger craig. so safe to say deebo samuel is in some impressive company. if you ask me. he's on the short list for nfl mvp. i think the voters will want the forty-niners to keep winning because right now i'm not sure a 6, 5, team would get an mvp. but if you just go by the numbers. i don't know if there's anyone in the nfl playing better deebo. samuel. maybe that running back in indianapolis. he's right there, too. deebo. he had been the forty-niners best player and hey, they're trending in the right direction, but it is always tough to win in seattle. so you can't look past them even though russell what russell westbrook russell wilson in company aren't having the best of year. all right. to a squad that is having a really good year. the dubs trying to make it a league best. 18 2 on the

transition. all we just saw final score warriors win one o 5 to 90. there are 18 into a play. phoenix on tuesday after the game, everybody was talking about that. no call that got going. >> i think we've the energy and the just in general. coaches. pretty fired of most part of fire they're missing a lot of cause. not a no calls. i mean, it was physical both ways. but no says going to do what he does and he was used for definite fired fire team up. you have to to direct that energy and to just put the ball in the basket. obviously after that. so that's that's what i feel like we do well, where. >> you become a distraction for the rest of game and and it obviously helped it as upset as i've seen stuff. and a long time and it was as upset as i've been in a long time it's kind of a miracle that i didn't get a technical.

mvp. maybe kevin durant could make it interesting. but right now that's player on the best team in the league having a host or exceed and it's crazy. thank staff is having and historic season after all the historic seasons he's had in the past. he just keeps raising the bar, but we get to witness it and cover it every day. nothing short of amazing. steph curry. all right. guess what we klay thompson and james wiseman update both clay and james have been assigned to santa cruz to work out with the warriors g league team while the dubs are on the road. that means they'll be down there through tuesday. practicing and presumably scrimmaging. what a sight to see wiseman hasn't played since last april. clay, of course, has not played since june of 2019. both will be welcome additions. but. i'm sorry, james, we're all really waiting for this guy's been 2 years in the making. he had

>> the giants had a pretty productive roster from top to bottom last season. it was definitely a team effort getting to 107 winds. but it was also clear that their top 2 starters were head and shoulders above the rest of the staff and the lose one of them. this offseason kevin gausman has signed a 5 year 110 million dollar deal with the toronto blue jays is coming off the best season of his career. he earned his first all-star selection and he posted a 14 6 record 2.8 one
