accident there. >> that accident is causing us to slow down along the san mateo bridge. 32 minutes for your drive times are heading across towards the peninsula because of that accident. now, in the last hour we had an accident on the bay bridge right near the tolls that's been cleared the look. we're at about 21 minutes for your drive so not a light monday at all in the south bay as you're traveling along one o one 85 to menlo park a little under 42 minutes for your drive. the air and highway 4 if you're traveling from one, 60 to 2.42 in concord. a little under 20 minutes. story of james, back to you. thanks a lot. radio 2 and the big news that we're following nationwide is in wisconsin where 5 people were killed and more than 40 injured, including a dozen kids when this car just one speeding through a holiday parade. yeah. that suv will loop it against. you can see it go by investigators right now looking into whether that driver might have been fleeing. >> separate crime and ended up crashing through all these parade goers. we've got to with the latest on what happened.
>> shock and horror at christmas parade in waukesha, wisconsin, red suv plowing through unsuspecting marchers and parade goers. vehicle struck. >> more than 20 individuals. some of girls were children and are some fatalities as a result of this incident. >> city officials confirming that 5 people were killed. one more than 40 people were injured. it was just before 4.40 local time when authorities say the driver of the vehicle storms through police barricades and barreled through the crowd. >> some of those injured transporting themselves area hospitals. the city of waukesha department and its partner, its partners and made this. >> transported a total of 11 loving the dolls and 12 pediatric patients. >> to 6 area hospitals. the speeding car just narrowly missing a toddler dancing on main street. >> it's not long before other start realizing the gravity of what's unfolding before their
eyes and deeply saddened to know that so many in our community. >> went to a parade but end up dealing with injury. and heartache. >> as the suv broke through the barricades. a police officer fired his gun to stop the suspect. it's unclear if the driver was hit were no longer looking for suspect vehicle. we do have a person interest in custody at the moment. but this is still a very fluid investigation is unknown at this time whether the incident and next. >> and we expect find out more in a news conference today. so we'll carry that as soon as it happens, it's supposed to be 11 o'clock our time on kron-on, which is our news app and it's free station download that. >> all right. let's bring it back closer to home. one of the big local stories that we're following our these mobs of robbers have been hitting high-end stores around the bay area. we had 3 major incident that happened over the weekend. yeah. people this year running into louis, baton and running out and hands full that is in union square on friday and also police were
able to stop where the getaway cars. watch this. yeah. right there. you see them run up to that car just start smashing out the windows. and one point you see an officer pepper spraying the driver, trying to get them to comply. yeah. yeah. and then in east bay and nordstrom's there in broadway plaza in walnut creek about 80 or so robbers. all coordinated. they swarmed that nordstrom's and made off again with arm loads, full immersion never have hired 80 people swarming a store at once and then at lulu lemon and santana row. a group. rob them so let's go to san jose right now. proffers camila barco has the very latest on all of these robberies camilla. >> well, during james. the crazy thing is is not only the amount of people that were involved in these incidents. but how many stores were looted now at that at this lulu lemon, people didn't vandalize the outside windows. you can see that there still here. but police say that a group of people went inside this store grabbed all the merchandise that they could
find and ran away with it. but by the time police got here. the group of people who were inside stealing everything. they were gone. and this happened at santana row here in san jose around 6.30, last night. the store normally closes at 7 on sundays. but it seems like. when he stole the merchandise the store was still open police didn't say whether anyone got hurt, but just 24 hours before this incident 80 people rushed into a nordstrom starting. i started emptying the shelves and ran away with thousands of dollars in merchandise that happened at broadway plaza in walnut creek. about 10 to 15 minutes before employees were going to close the store. now investigators say looters or salted 2 store employees and pepper spray to another one. they found one gun and arrested 3 people but doesn't got away. police fear that the same group of people were going to strike again. they blocked off broadway plaza to traffic as a precaution. but take a look at this video has
gone viral. looters took over union square in san francisco on friday, thieves were seen running from the live on store. some ran into a car. but police chase them down. so rounded that car and started smashing their windows. the san francisco police chief says people burglarized and vandalized 10 high-end stores on friday alone. they arrested 8 people that they are still searching for more but back out live here in san jose. it's not known how much merchandise merchandise was stolen. but it looks like employees here have. cleaned up the mess after last night. the shelves are fully restocked with clothes backpacks and all the other merchandise. but daryn james, at this time it's unknown if employees are going to reopen this store after what happened yesterday. back to you. and i think unveiling what we want to find out is are they all connect? it is this one. >> gordon needed ring. yeah. that that is operating to where these 3 coincidental at
the same weekend robbery related groups of >> well, police say that the walnut creek incident that was coordinated 80 people. that's a lot of that's a lot of people involved in just a one incident. however, police tell me that they are still investigating what happened here at lulu lemon. they're still investigating how it happened at leave it on so it won't be for maybe another few days, possibly another few weeks to find out what exactly happened. any of all of these incidents are connected. >> all right. that's the question. all right. thank you very much. and we still got to the smash and grabs happening at jewelry stores around the bay hayward police are investigating one at sam's jewelry and the southland mall 4th jewelry store now to be hit in the bay area just this month alone. take a look. it was 5.30 yesterday and here's where that story's 8 or 10 people went in with sledgehammers and they smashed the cases got away with a bunch of jewelry and left in several getaway cars. nobody
was arrested there. then remember, it was a week ago today that we saw the surveillance from inside iceberg diamonds. they were open in the sun valley mall and conquer people were shopping and thank god nobody was hurt. but these robbers got in 9 of them with sledgehammers took everything in those cases and got away and then in fairfield was a smash and grab robbery inside the salon town center that was last wednesday and it turns out they got away with $50,000 worth of jewelry, but police tracked down 3 teenagers and arrested them for that in san francisco's chinatown, they're still trying to solve the long bird boat jewelers robbers they got about $250,000 in the cases here that happened last tuesday and nobody has been arrested. let's head to the north bay where police there in solano county are looking for a man who they say shot at another man after getting into an accident. >> so the chp says this was a hit and run on interstate 80 eastbound right near highway one, 13 and dixon happened

the 70's burlingame at 71 south san francisco at 70 degrees peninsula. san carlos in mountain view each at 72 well, in the south bay, campbell in los gatos at 75 or warmest spots today. definitely no, don't need the jacket this afternoon for those numbers. you just got to get on this morning with the 30's 40's we have right now oakland and berkeley at 70 degrees each while valais whoa, sonoma and napa each at 68 santa rosa down through center fell just below 70 degrees. looking ahead. there's those 60's and i was talking about. so today is warmer. tomorrow is a little cooler but still comfortable. we stay that way through thursday before the weekend ahead for all that shopping. the post thanksgiving shopping you have on friday is going to be looking with some nice conditions for it with highs back in the mid to upper 60's. that's your forecast. rain is going to look at what was a hot spot anyway. yeah, there it is. unfortunately, i wish i could say there's no traffic out the air. but there is if you're traveling along one o one westbound 92 east of one-on-one north. there's an
accident. so we're seeing delays all along the san mateo bridge drive times up to almost 50 >> if you need to get across towards the peninsula. maybe don't take the san mateo bridge. other option maybe take the dumbarton bridge a little under 20 minutes into the city. we had an earlier accident right there near the tolls that has since been cleared. the drive times are still pretty sluggish and slow in the south bay to 37 no major issues like i mentioned. if you don't want to wait in that traffic along the san mateo bridge dunbar bridge, perhaps 80 to 85. we're not seeing any major delays or issues along highway for traveling from one 60 to 2.42 a little under 60 minutes and our richmond center fell commute a little under 15 at a richmond darya. james, back to you. thanks a lot. will we get the green light to go to thanksgiving and our meal without a mask. yes, indeed. and if you haven't had your booster yet. that's fine. doctor anthony fauci says as long as you're fully vaccinated, you don't need to wear a mask. >> you can welcome people inside. hopefully they're all vaccinated as well. raquel martin has the latest from dc.

we're starting to see delays because of that accident along the san mateo bridge. look at that 47 minutes for your drive. if you're heading across towards the peninsula. so you might want to go ahead and take the dunbarton bridge if you're trying to get across and not wait in that traffic a little under 20 minutes into the city right now. we had earlier accident about 2 hours ago on the bay bridge. now and the south bay 85 towards middle part a little under 35 minutes for your drive there along highway for a little under 15 traveling from one 60 along to 2.42 in concord. darya james, back to you. thanks. ally. 32 right now on the breaking news we're following this morning is what wisconsin where 5 people were killed and another 40 were injured by an suv that plowed into a christmas parade. yeah. this was it. >> waukesha wisconsin children are among those that were injured in this. there's the fact that suv saw go by luke, the video again, no real details about the person behind the wheel or their motive. but investigators are looking into maybe this person
was fleeing an earlier crime and ended up on the parade route and was just hitting parade goers as they were trying to make their getaway and we froze the video there. so you don't see where they hit several people in this shot. but right when that car went through the you know, blockade for the parade. >> one of the officers opened fire didn't hit any people. but the car kept going. and again, police have arrested the suspected driver of that vehicle. one witness describes how scary it was. >> well, i sought strike >> and just passed my apartment complex and plowed into at least 3 people running over 2 of them. one of the 2 got off. the other did not for quite some time. it kept going all the way down the block too. people's park to stop light and continue straight through it. and that's all that i saw it continued to strict conditions and people along the way. >> today. our community face for tragedy which should have been a community celebration.
i'm deeply saddened to know that so many in our community when to a parade but ended up dealing with injury. and heartache. >> so the white apparentry is in contact with wisconsin officials offering them any investigated help that they need president biden's been notified about what happened. police are going to be holding a news conference at 11 o'clock this morning. so we hope to learn more. that will be after our broadcast this morning. so we'll carry that for you in its entirety on our 24 7 news app kron on it's free download it and follow along as we hopefully learn more about the person behind the wheel. a 34 now let's go to the bay area where the big news is what happened in oakland. first of all, officers were shot at. they were responding to a robbery at a marijuana grow warehouse around 3 o'clock this morning. >> on the car. full macarthur boulevard. and when the police arrived, the thieves got into their cars and took off. and one person in one of those getaway cars shot at the officers patrol cars were hit,
but none of the officers was hit and the thieves got away. and that should it was just the latest in what was a violent weekend in oakland police chief leronne armstrong is going to hold a news conference today to talk about what is being done. the police department can barely keep up with everything is happening. there were just this weekend robberies looting illegal sideshow activity. this is one of those illegal sideshows that happened this saturday afternoon. it was a carjacking and an officer fatally shot the carjacker in that case there was an armed robbery and a shooting on pendleton way. police arrested one person there and there was a murder, a 123rd homicide of the year. now in oakland and community later say that the police just cannot keep up. >> it's down to 680 offices the stand and the next 2 months it will be down 650. we need a minimum of 850 to really protect the citizens here in the city of oakland. i have. >> called for increased
resources for our investigation unit so that we can bring these folks to justice. >> and again, we're waiting for that press conference with the police chief whenever it happens will carry it on kron on. >> 35 is the time and happening right now ex-raiders wide receiver henry ruggs will be back in court in person to face the judge after he missed a breathalyzer check in last week. defense attorneys argue that he self-tested when he missed one of his required opportunities. this morning. rugs went to went to court on the judge's orders. we know that he has to stay away from alcohol during his trial. he has to test 4 times a day for alcohol or he'll be put back in jail. ruggs faces 4 felonies and one misdemeanor in a drunk driving incident which caused the death of a woman identified as tina 10 tour earlier this month. also happening today in the south bay, former theranos ceo elizabeth holmes will be taking the stand again to
defend herself in a criminal fraud trial in santa clara county. the one-time darling of santa clara is now accused of misleading investors and patients and business partners into believing that her blood testing device would revolutionize the healthcare industry in actuality that device didn't do most of what she promised last friday. she took the witness stand trying to speed the prosecutions portrayal of her as someone who was a greedy fame obsessed fraudster on her time on the stand to talk about her background at stanford and her decision to drop out and pursue her ideas and dreams of creating a start-up company. if convicted, holmes could face up to 20 years in prison. >> it's 8.37 and happening now, the jury is hearing closing arguments in those 3 men who on trial for killing ahmaud arbery. they face multiple charges including felony murder for killing arbery after they chased him down in a pickup truck on friday. there was another motion for a mistrial because of demonstrators outside the
