between concord in antioch do watch for some potentially foggy conditions out that direction. otherwise we're dry were clear and we're cold to start before really comfortable afternoon right now dublin as well as nevado santa rosa napa and fairfield just a few spots that are well down in the 30's. so bundle up this morning and look forward to a really comfortable afternoon here in just a few hours. reyna john, thank you for that. all right. we're starting on your commute from the east bay. >> into the city right now. little under 30 minutes. you can see they turned the metering lights on within the past 30 minutes. so traffic slowing down just a little bit. not much, though. 5, 1880, traveling to any ville berkeley, not seen any accidents or hazards along. there heading across towards the peninsula a little under 30 minutes for you. there. richmond center fell commute as you travel out of richmond. a little undermine make it across to war. sandra fell and the golden gate bridge about 20 minutes from the north bay to reach the tolls. darya james, back to you. thanks a lot. let's get to the breaking news. an wisconsin 5 people
are dead, more than 40 injured when an suv plowed through a holiday parade. yeah, you can see video here of what happened there goes the suv. >> by investigators right now looking at whether the driver was perhaps maybe fleeing another crime. >> and ended up crashing into parade goers in the process are low says saito has the latest. >> shock and horror at christmas parade in waukesha, wisconsin, red suv plowing through unsuspecting marchers and parade goers. the vehicle struck. >> more than 20 individuals. some of girls were children and are some fatalities as a result of this incident. >> city officials confirming that 5 people were killed. one more than 40 people were injured. it was just before 4.40 local time when authorities say the driver of the vehicle storms through police barricades and barreled through the crowd. >> some of those injured transporting themselves to area hospitals. the city of waukesha department and its partner, its partners in may.
this. >> transported a total of 11 loving the dolls and 12 pediatric patients. >> to 6 area hospitals. the speeding car just narrowly missing a toddler dancing on main street. >> it's not long before other start realizing the gravity of what's unfolding before their eyes and deeply saddened to know that so many in our community. >> went to a parade but end up dealing with injury. and heartache. >> as the suv broke through the barricades. a police officer fired his gun to stop the suspect. it's unclear if the driver was hit. >> we're no longer looking for suspect vehicle. we do have a person interest in custody at the moment. but this is still a very fluid investigation is unknown at this time whether the incidents and nexus to terrorism. >> well, this moment police obviously still trying to figure out a motive. they are going to have a press conference are going to be holding that this morning at
about 11 o'clock our time. and so we're going to carry that for you will be after our broadcast this morning. so make sure you tune in to kron on. that's our 24 7 news streaming app. it's a free app. so download it if you haven't already. >> and the big local story this morning. mobs of robbers hit high-end stores around the bay groups of fees targeted 3 stores over the weekend. yeah, they ran into a louis baton at union square temperatures going friday. this is video of them running out with arms full of. >> merchandise. and we also saw police trying to stop at least one of the getaway in the end arrested. and there you see them converging on one of those. gary cars with their because they used pepper spray. with 8 people arrested in that and that and in walnut creek about 80 people swarmed. >> a store there nordstrom saturday night. >> that's right. 80 people at once. and then last night a group of robbers rush to lulu lemon in santana wrote, in fact, that's where kron four's camila barco is for us this morning in san jose with that. >> and the other robberies as well. committee look, bizarre weekend.
>> bizarre and busy weekend for police. james, you can't even tell looters stole from this lulu lemon. as you can see, the windows are not shattered. but police say a group of people went inside the store grabbed any merchandise that they could find and ran away with it by the time police got here. the group of looters. they were gone. this happened at santana row here in san jose around 6.30, last night. the store normally closes at 7 on sundays. so it seems like they stole the merchandise while the store was open. but police didn't say whether anyone got hurt. now just 24 hours before this incident. 80 people rushed into a nordstrom started emptying the shelves and ran away with thousands of dollars in merchandise. now that happened at broadway plaza in walnut creek about 10 to 15 minutes just before they were going to close investigators say looters
assaulted 2 store employees and pepper sprayed another one. they found one gun and arrested 3 people but doesn't got away. police feared the same group of people were going to strike again, but they blocked off broadway plaza to traffic as a precaution. now take a look at this video we just showed you looters took over union square in san francisco on friday. the video of the bold heist has gone viral. these were seen running from the louis baton store. some ran into a car, but police chase them down surrounded the car and started smashing their windows. the san francisco police chief says people burglarized and vandalized 10 high-end stores on friday alone. they arrested 8 people. but are still searching for more now. it's not known how much looters stole from all of these stores. but police are going through all of the evidence to try to find the people responsible. now nordstrom in walnut creek. they're cutting back their hours after what happened this
weekend as far as lulu lemon, it's not clear whether they're going to open their doors today for customers. all right. james, back to you. i think thing everybody wants to know is, is this a coordinated thing is coincidental because neck to in some down. hard to tell. >> well, daryn, james, police did say do you think that the heist and creek, the one at nordstrom. they think that that one was planned 80 people it's a lot. they do say that that one is coordinate far lulu lemon and the one in san francisco that's unclear at. yeah. yeah. like if they're all part of the rangers are thing around. yeah. all we know is like, for example, and the jewelry store stopped thank you, camila. they all happened at the same time and another smash-and-grab has happened now at sam's jewelry in the southland mall. >> that's the 4th jewelry star this been hit in the bay area this month. it was around 5.30, yesterday. 8 to 10 people with sledgehammers when
into the jewelry store smash the cases and got away with they left in several getaway cars and as you know, a week ago today that's when 9 people when into the iceberg diamonds shop in the sun valley mall in concord and you can the new sledgehammer. same thing. they empty out those cases and got away. still no arrests. there. and in fairfield 3 teenagers were arrested for this smash-and-grab robbery in the solano town center in fairfield last wednesday. so they did get away with $50,000 worth of jewelry. but there were arrests. 3 teens were arrested in san francisco's chinatown. they still have anybody in custody for the long boat jewelers theft. $250,000 worth of jewelry was taken from them last tuesday. >> 6. '09, is the time. and in the north bay police in solano county are looking for a man who shot at another man after getting into an accident. so
the chp says that they were responding to a hit and run on interstate 80 eastbound right near highway one 13 in dixon. this was yesterday evening. and that's when they say the men involved in the accident got into a fight. one of them started shooting. the other chp says the man who fired the gun left the scene in a white toyota camry. nobody was hit by any of those bullets, thankfully. but they're clearly looking for that shooter this morning. 6.10, is the time right now. and let's talk holidays thanksgiving is on thursday. and if you're not already there yet. there what you better get going. a lot of people are going to sfo. yeah. we've got a live shot of the airport there. the big wall behind aria. >> kron four's. gayle ong has more on what travelers are experiencing at those airports. >> holiday travel season is in swing at san francisco international airport. the busiest day began friday and the rush did not lose momentum over the weekend. we're coming back from the 40th birthday of a spending some time case and some wind up in napa going to

why they do 6.16 right now and we are zeroing in on the forecast for the whole week heading into the big thanksgiving holiday. what's going to be like. mother. nature is making it easy on all of us this year. we're looking at dry skies comfortable weather, good travel conditions for sure. >> and today especially is going to be a beautiful day now. it is a cold morning, though. so first and foremost, you want to bundle up as you're venturing outside. for now berkeley hills all the way up to the coastline. it's crystal clear oftentimes on these clear calm mornings. so you see some of our coldest temperatures and that is definitely the way we're starting this morning dublin santa rosa napa as well as fairfield. all these areas down in the 30's to start. we have some fog out towards the central valley. if you are heading that way. high pressure built and keeping us dry. and that's the way we're staying for a while. we will see a weak frontal boundary making its way across the region tonight. you see that in the form of those high passing clouds pushing through during the evening hours. this is going to result in temperatures falling tomorrow.
so out of the 70's and back into the 60's for a lot of the ba area from monday into tuesfay. so if you're looking for a nice warm day today is certainly the one to savers much as you can 60's for your highs. in sf and 60's and 70's right along the coastline we've got mostly 70's along the bay shore today with burlingame at 71 degrees. carlos in mountain view each at 72 for your daytime highs. south bay temperatures are some of our warmest campbell in los gatos at 75 degrees each while fremont hayward through oakland and berkeley in the low 70's. some upper 60's further inland as well as across the north bay with delay. how at 68 degrees and the petaluma at 69 today. tomorrow's highs, as i mentioned, cool down quite a lot down from the low 70's to the low 60's. we're going to stay that way into thursday for your thanksgiving after that temperatures on the rise again. and the weekend after thanksgiving for any sort of travels home that you may be doing are going to be still nice dry conditions and
comfortable temperatures reyna john, thank you for that. all right. starting in the south bay. we're looking at conditions along one a one 85 to menlo park. >> a little under 29 minutes to 37 not seen any major accidents are hazards traveling into the city. they have turned the meteor lights on. there are no hazards there. a little under 30 minutes to make your way from the east bay to that fremont street exit heading across towards the peninsula a little under 14 for your drive time there. things are starting to slow down a little bit along highway 4. if you're traveling from one 62 to 42 a little under 22 minutes. the air and 6.80 southbound traveling from fremont, a doubling their to 62 a little under 15 minutes. darya james, back to you. >> thank you very much. 6.19 is the time santa cruz counties, indoor mask mandate is back as they try to prevent a winter surge. the mandate went back to affected midnight. so once again, you're going to be required tough, wear a face covering in public places offices, even people's own homes when others are visiting you regardless of
your vaccination status to keep that in mind. this renewed mandate will remain in effect indefinitely, which means the timeline for when it will be rolled back. well, it's all going up and on how the county does over the next few weeks and months. they can attract the number. but that's interesting. that can happen. you see the numbers go up. so that's a good morning for everybody around the bay to look at what's happening now. >> 6.20, right now and the biden administration is giving the green light for fully vaccinated families to gather for thanksgiving there you know, you just again, the be smart. take. absolutely. yeah. doctor fauci says that those who are fully vaccinated, what need to wear a mask indoors with family raquel martin actually live in dc with the latest on all this. and some good news for families get together this holiday raquel. >> good morning. well, as you said, doctor fauci says it's ok if you are fully vaccinated to gather with your loved ones without a mask and indoors. but the news does come with some information about how
many people are vaccinated only 6.59% of the country is fully vaccinated. and we also know according to the latest cdc data that there are still more than half the states experiencing an increase in cases. >> chief medical advisor doctor anthony fauci is giving millions of americans. the green light to enjoy this thanksgiving together few a vaccinated and hopefully you'll be boosted to and your family as you can enjoy a typical thanksgiving on abc's this week. fauci said for fully vaccinated americans. that means indoors and with no mask is no reason not to do that. but the announcement did come with a warning. the thing we're concerned about is the people who are not vaccinated according to cdc data. that's nearly a 3rd of the country or of the more infectious delta variant the higher the level of dynamics of infection. the
more everyone is at risk. it's also why the white house is encouraging but not yet requiring americans get their booster shots on friday. the cdc okayed the extra jab for all us adults. we see clear evidence of declining immune protection it from the vaccines after 6 months on cbs face the nation former fda commissioner doctor scott gottlieb said the site shows the extra shot could help. i think eventually this will be consider the 3 dose vaccine. but i i would be hard pressed to believe cdc is going to make that any time soon. >> already a handful of states are taking that step and redefining what it means to be fully vaccinated has to get 3 shots however, again, the white house has not yet announced a similar step. now washington raquel martin, back to you. thank you, raquel. and this is what fauci says you should do. >> if you're gathering with somebody who's like a little baby. so you can back to something was really old. it's a quick in home and they say to do it on the okay. yeah,

whether you're by the beyer further inland. get the jackets on stay cozy this morning and look forward to a really comfortable afternoon around the corner. breana john, thanks for that. ok, so we are seeing some accidents, but no major delays like this one. 80 westbound west of cutting boulevard. so you've seen a slight delay to richmond and san pablo area. but no major issues to take san pablo avenue as an alternate. >> a little under 18 minutes heading into the city from the east bay as traffic starts to pick up at this hour. heading out of richmond across to we're sandra fell a little under 9 minutes for you to make that drive. and the san mateo bridge a little under 14 minutes for you to head across towards the peninsula. darya james, back to you. >> 3 and the breaking news that we're following is actually in wisconsin. 5 people are dead. >> and more than 40 injured because an suv plowed through a christmas parade. yeah. this is in waukesha, wisconsin. >> children are among the victims. we don't know. among
the dead or the injured. we just know that pediatric patients been taken to the hospital. there's ds years. the suv just blasting by all the parade goers and the marchers in the parade. there is a person of interest in custody, although police haven't released any details about this person or any possible motive. although investigators are looking into whether the made in fleeing another crime and that's when he entered the parade route and just kept speeding by as you can see here to try and get away is actually on the city's live need. >> and on many cell phones, as you can see here, one video shows the moment that it broke through the barricades and then there was also right when it broke through a barricade. a police officer. officer opened fire fired several shots trying to stop that vehicle. it didn't stop the vehicle and also didn't those shots to hurt anyone. the crowds. that's a good thing. one witness describes what happened. >> i sought strike and just passed my apartment complex and plowed into at least 3

were shot at in oakland. officers were responding to a robbery at a marijuana grow facility. a warehouse 3 o'clock this morning on macarthur boulevard and when they arrive, they say thieves got into their cars and took off one person. in one of the cars shot at those officers that we're following hitting a patrol car. none of the officers were hurt. the thieves and the shooter unfortunately got away. so police are still looking for him this morning. >> time now 6.36 and that shooting was the latest in a violent weekend in oakland. there were robberies, an illegal sideshow activity that we're keeping police officers a very busy yeah. they were oakland. police chief leronne armstrong is going to be holding a news conference today to talk more about. >> what we saw over the weekend. proffers amanda hari has a recap of what happened. >> that no one has ever seen. the city in the shape it's in today. no one is ever seeing another crime filled weekend in the city of oakland police department says there were shootings robberies looting. >> and illegal sideshow activity. this is citizen
video of one of those sideshows you can also see crowds of people watching and supporting the activity, oakland city council member and candidate to lauren taylor says although these people aren't committing a crime. they're encouraging it just by being there and providing you know, likes and support for these activities. it's encouraging. >> it's a continuing. unfortunately that puts oakland residents in harm's way saturday afternoon. a carjacking resulting in officer shooting the suspect. >> that suspect died from their injuries. there's also an armed robbery and shooting on pendleton way overnight. one person was arrested and the 123rd homicide. we did have >> a younger person involved in the homicide. >> taylor says with all of this criminal activity officers are spread thin. it's
difficult to solve any of the crimes. i have. >> called for increased resources for our investigation unit so that we can bring these folks to justice bishop bob jackson with acts full gospel church. >> says the city needs more help from california highway patrol and the alameda sheriff's department because the police department can handle this level of crime on their own is down to 680 officers the stand and the next 2 months it will be down 650. we need a minimum of 850 to really protect the citizens here in the city of oakland. jackson says when he talks to members of the community. they're scared and tired. >> he says something needs to change or things will get worse, though concerned about is that the citizens of oakland. >> may pick up guns and start protecting themselves and then it's going to be really all and i hate to see that amanda hari kron 4 news. and again, the oakland police
chief is going to address this with the press conference and we will carry that today's also be talking about some of the arrest that made. >> when every carries we don't know what time. but you got kron 00:00am morning news kron on and kron 4 dot com for the latest. >> also happening today. we've got ex-raiders wide receiver henry ruggs scheduled to be in court in person today. this after he missed a breathalyzer check in now. last week his defense lawyer argued that ruggs self-tested shortly after missing his authorized test. but the judge still wants him to be back in court at 7.30 this morning to face him records show that ruggs has to stay away from alcohol and be tested 4 times a day or he'll have to go back to jail. ruggs faces 4 felonies and one misdemeanor. he's accused of driving drunk and causing a high-speed crash that killed a woman. tina 10 tour earlier this month. also happening today. this time in the south bay. we have former theranos ceo elizabeth holmes taking the stand again to defend herself in a criminal fraud trial in santa clara county,
