it's our warmest day of the upcoming forecast daytime highs climbing. >> well into the upper 60's to low 70's for a whole lot of the bay area for this monday to start what is maybe a week off what is maybe a normal work week for you. either way. weather is looking good for it. your view outside her berkeley hills. cam is sh%wing some conditions out there that are really nice and clear. we're looking down from the east bay hills without any fog. all the way out to the coastline. you can see visibility is saying out nice and find across the bay area. it is another day with that to leave fog. having form the central valley and at times that is going to try to drift its way into portions along highway 4 right up there in contra, costa and eastern solano counties. so aside from that, we are good to go as far as visibility is concerned, radar shows those clear skies dry skies. as i mentioned, some good travel conditions just really good conditions for venturing out as far as the roads go. but you just want to make sure to be bundled up as you do get out there. look at these lows

double in napa. san anselmo. santa rosa petaluma say whoa, lena all down in the 30's with fairfield at 37 degrees right now we're cold. a spot on the map currently. so it is a very cold start to the day for a whole lot of the bay area. just make sure you're getting outside with that extra layer on nice and bundled up prepared, especially in those inland areas for temperatures to be as cold as they are by the time the sun comes up, you'll start to see some 40's and 50's again. and then really comfortable and mild afternoon. some 60's and 70's for daytime highs will be talking more about what today is going to offer as well as the rest of this holiday week. all still ahead, back to john, thank you for that. all right. as you're hitting the road this morning. i do see a hot spot. this is in daly city to 80 southbound north. >> of sarah monte boulevard. looks like we have an accident there. that's pretty bad. they also have one in the city as well. this is in san francisco. 1 one northbound northam air poses street and another one a little further down. this is in south san francisco one. oh, one southbound at south airport

boulevard keeping a close eye on those things from the east bay into the city a little under 10 minutes at this hour. let's head over get a look at the san mateo bridge heading across towards the peninsula a little under 13 minutes for you. there. the richmond sandra fell commute as you're heading richmond, you can make that drive in a little under 9 minutes. so moving really quickly at this hour and we'll leave you with the golden gate bridge to look at the skies, the air and on c any fog slowing us down this morning to about 20 minutes from the north bay into the city. we have some breaking news out of wisconsin. 5 people are dead more than 40 others are injured after a driver plowed through a holiday parade just outside of milwaukee children were also among those who are victims in today. we're expected to learn more from authorities about what happened carlos sus ito has those details for us. >> shock and horror at christmas parade in waukesha, wisconsin, red suv plowing

through unsuspecting marchers and parade goers. vehicle struck. >> more than 20 individuals. some of the individuals were children and are some fatalities as a result of this incident. >> city officials confirming that 5 people were killed. one more than 40 people were injured. it was just before 4.40 local time when authorities say the driver of the vehicle storms through police barricades and barreled through the crowd. >> some of those injured transporting themselves area hospitals. the city of waukesha department and its partner, its partners and made this. >> transported a total of 11 loving adults and 12 pediatric patients. >> to 6 area hospitals. the speeding car just narrowly missing a toddler dancing on main street. >> it's not long before other start realizing the gravity of what's unfolding before their eyes and deeply saddened to know that so many in our community. >> went to a parade but end up dealing with injury. and

heartache. >> as the suv broke through the barricades. a police officer fired his gun to stop the suspect. it's unclear if the driver was hit, will no longer looking for suspect vehicle. we do have a person interest in custody at the moment. but this is still a very fluid investigation. is unknown at this time whether the incidents and nexus to terrorism. >> all right. well, that was carlos a reporting for us. police are still trying to figure out a motive for going bring you updates as soon as we learn more on that case. all right. well over in the south bay lululemon in santana row is the latest store to be targeted by robbers. san jose. police say a group of people took merchandise from the store yesterday evening that was around 6.30. they say the group of people were gone before. police were able to make it on scene. and right now walnut creek. police are combing through surveillance video trying to identify the dozens of looters who flooded the nordstrom's at broadway

plaza. police say as many as 80 people swarmed that store saturday night. so far 3 people were arrested in that kron four's delivers aqi has the latest. >> a handful of officers and patrol cars are still monitoring the area. many of the shops nearby, including the nordstrom's closed early after saturday night's chaos now, i'm also standing in the road broadway plaza because this is still closed down the cars to deter thieves from coming through despite all these precautions, though notions did have an incident earlier sunday afternoon. >> it was pretty shocking we had made an appointment at the apple store here and we find to be a safe place to come because we live in stockton said we want to home at creek and so we're like, oh, maybe not after dark shoppers and locals living in walnut creek on edge sunday. >> after a mob of 80 leaders stormed the nordstrom store on saturday. witness threatened there and who also manages a restaurant across the street described the chaotic scene from saturday night have the

tables were up at the windows looking to see what's going on with the lock the front door i to lock the back door. the whole restaurant just kind of stopped for a minute and was just watching because there was a mob of people. the police are flying and it was the scene of the movie isn't walnut creek. police say. >> it happened around 09:00pm while the store was open with employees and shoppers inside started receiving calls that there were tons of cars putting into broadway plaza area. >> then we received reports that people dressed in mask and dark clothing were running into nordstrom. they were clogging the streets with their they have crowbars and we're running out with property and getting into the vehicles and fleeing the scene. police say. >> 2 employees were assaulted and one was pepper sprayed, but their injuries are minor. so far. they arrested 3 people 30 year-old dana dawson of san francisco. 32 year-old joshua underwood of san francisco and 18 year-old rodney robinson of oakland charges include robbery burglary, conspiracy

possession of stolen property. illegal possession of a firearm by a felon and carrying a concealed weapon. mayor kevin wilk says these brazen thefts will not be tolerated. our police department. >> we'll have made and will make arrests. we're going to be working with the da's office to have the most serious charges that we can possibly have and we will be encouraging the da's office to charge them with the highest crimes possible on sunday. >> police stepped up patrols in this area and put up barriers to cut off car access on broadway plaza are one of the entrances to the store is located despite the increased police presence a witness says other thieves were back at it on sunday. >> i sighed nordstrom employee run out of the building notify the police that 2 people had ran out of the back with items and as i kind of followed a woman of the coroner said she saw and then about 2 or 3 police suvs, lights and sirens when chasing down the street after them. police confirmed there was an unrelated grab and run incident sunday afternoon. >> and say they caught an

individual involved. walnut creek. police say they'll continue to monitor this area after receiving intel that the same group that storm that nordstrom saturday night are considering to do it again and abundance of caution, they learned it all the nearby businesses, which is why many of those businesses closed early sunday night in walnut creek calif the psac ii kron 4 news. >> and in san francisco, police say they're controlling and limiting traffic in and around union square louis, the time was looted on friday night. they're not specify which streets are affected at this time or for how long that store is temporarily closed because of the incident kron 4. we'll continue to follow all these stories and bring you more details as soon as they come into our newsroom. well, hey, where police are investigating a smash-and-grab robbery at sam's jewelry in southland mall. it's the 4th jewelry store robbery happened in the bay area this month just before 5.30 yesterday. 8 to 10 people carrying sledgehammers one into the jewelry store smashed several

cases to rob the jewelry and ran away. they say the robbers left several left in several vehicles is still unclear how much jewelry they were able to get away with now. a week ago today, a group that these were caught on camera storm in the iceberg diamonds inside the sun valley mall in concord. you can see them breaking the display cases before taking off. and with all that stolen jewelry, no arrests were made in this robbery and in fairfield, 3 teens were arrested for smash-and-grab robbery inside the salon a-town center in fairfield last wednesday. these broke open the cases. there's still about $50,000 in jewelry. well, police tracked down the teens and arrested them and san francisco's chinatown robbers broke into long boat jewelers and stole $250,000 worth of jewelry. it happened last tuesday. no arrests have been made in this case. also happening today in the east

bay oakland police chief leronne armstrong is going to hold a media conference to address another violent weekend in oakland. the police department says there were shootings robberies looting as well as illegal sideshow activity all throughout oakland. we're showing you video of one of those site shows that happened saturday afternoon. a carjacking resulting in an officer fatally shooting the carjacker and there was also an armed robbery in a shooting on pendleton way where police arrested one person open also recorded its 123rd homicide of the year. community leaders say officers are spread thin is difficult to solve any of these crimes. >> it's down to 680 officers the stand and the next 2 months. it will be down 650. we need a minimum of 850 to really protect the citizens here in the city of oakland. i have. >> called for increased resources for our investigation unit so that we can bring these folks to

justice. >> again. the oakland police chief will be addressing all of this violence at a press conference today. we don't have that exact time for the press conference just yet. but we're going to keep you updated. what's more information is released. and police in solano county are looking for a man they say shot at another man after getting into a car accident. chp says they were responding to a hit and run on interstate 80 eastbound near state roll one 13 dixon yesterday evening. they say the men involved in the accident got into a fight and then one of them started shooting at the other chp says the man who fired the gun left the scene in a white toyota camry. they say no one was hit by gunfire. coming up on the kron 4 morning news the food bank in the south bay is working overtime. >> to the families for the holidays, how they're preparing and what you can actually do to help them. plus, officials in washington are giving their

dress if they didn't already bring those things. but you have to but let the ball it for the next couple of days. our meteorologists dots raible has been tracking our weather for us. can we eat outside on on thursday. you know what i think you can do some eating outside thursday it. yeah. are celebrating today. you definitely want to be outside today. it's or warmest one of this forecast. >> now come the middle of the week on towards thanksgiving. we are going to be in for a little bit of a cool down. so i guess the evening outside depends on what your preferences as far as temperatures go. if you don't mind some low 60's. go ahead. get out there and do so. maybe if you have one of those heaters that help to warm you up. you know, as we've done so much outdoor dining during this pandemic use that pull that out for your thanksgiving dinner eating out there looking outside your half moon, bay camera conditions are beautiful and clear. in fact, we're looking at clear fog free conditions all across the bay area this morning. so your drive into work if you are working this morning or any sort of travels you may be doing looking really good to go dry conditions certainly across the bay area. satellite and radar certainly showing

that future cast indicating those clear skies. well, to the course of the day today on into tomorrow and really on to the rest of the week. a couple of sprinkles are possible early tomorrow morning up in mendocino county. but that is the nearest. we're getting to any sort of what's looking to be rainfall in this forecast. there is nothing coming our direction. all the way through the thanksgiving holiday. what does that mean for us. will today. you can see ample sunshine. some really mild conditions, half moon bay right at the coast, at 70 degrees. burlingame at 71 today in some temperatures even warmer than that further southward mountain view at 72 san jose at 74 degrees today. campbell and saratoga feeling earlier in this year. that's for sure. at 75 degrees have until numbers. this warm and a little bit of time now. so this feels pretty good. the in benicia at 68 degrees for your highs. well, santa rosa down through center fell just below the 70 degree. mark. now. tomorrow we do see temperatures a little bit cooler. and as we work our way

traveling from the north bay to the tolls. the holiday travel season is in full swing at bay area airports and it almost looks like prepandemic travel in 2019 and it's been a busy weekend at san francisco international airport as people travel ahead of thanksgiving holiday. kron four's gayle ong has more for us. holiday travel season is in swing at san francisco international airport. the busiest day began friday and the rush did not lose momentum over the weekend. we're coming back from the 40th birthday of a spending some time case and some wind up in napa going to his first time we've gone on in egypt with our family and longtime us. a mom could not be more excited. there were other first-time travelers since the pandemic. i didn't do any traveling last year. it's amazing. i mean, to have your first trip after a couple years when you're used to being able to go wherever you want, right. worrying that it went well. it's a great

there's like so many precautions. but like everything feels really, really safe on the sunday before thanksgiving almost 50,000 passengers are departing from sfo. >> that's 60% down from prepandemic thanksgiving travel in 2019 with vaccinations off an international travel mandate ease airport officials project more traffic over christmas thanksgiving is such a domestic focus. >> travel, period. >> whereas we're very excited about the biden administration relaxing entry restrictions for foreigners. we think that's going to help our international activity to recover. and i think we'll probably see that play out a little more in december. >> and since it's a lot of people's first time traveling since the pandemic masks are still required inside airports and on flights and it is advice to get here early as we head into the holiday travel season. 2 hours before domestic flights. at least 3 hours. if you're flying international reporting from sfo gayle ong kron 4 news. >> the biden administration is giving the green light for fully vaccinated families to gather this thanksgiving

booster or not. and doctor anthony fauci says those who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask while indoors with their family. raquel martin has the latest from washington, dc good morning, rick hill. good morning. arena. that's right. doctor says that if you're fully vaccinated, you do not need to wear a mask while you're indoors gathering with your families. but the news does come with still only about 59% of americans being fully vaccinated. and right now we're seeing an increase in cases and more than half of states. >> white house chief medical advisor, doctor anthony fauci is giving millions of americans. the green light to enjoy this thanksgiving together few a vaccinated and hopefully you'll be boosted to and your family as you can enjoy a typical thanksgiving on abc's this week. fauci said for fully vaccinated americans. that means indoors and with no mask is no reason not to do that. but the announcement did come with a

warning. the thing we're concerned about is the people who are not vaccinated according to cdc data. that's nearly a 3rd of the country or 83 million americans. fauci says those levels are still too high, especially considering transmission rates of the more infectious delta variant the higher the level of dynamics of infection. the more everyone is at risk. it's also why the white house is encouraging but not yet requiring americans get their booster shots on friday. the cdc okayed the extra jab for all us adults. we see clear evidence of declining immune protection it from the vaccines after 6 months on cbs face the nation former fda commissioner doctor scott gottlieb said the site shows the extra shot could help. i think eventually this will be consider the 3 dose vaccine. but i i would be hard pressed to believe cdc is going to make that any time soon. >> but a handful of states are already taking that step

counties. indoor mask mandate

is back in effect in anticipation of a winter surge. now the mandate went back into effect at midnight. once again, people are required to wear face coverings in public places offices and even people's own homes when others are visiting now regardless of their vaccination status. this renewed mandate will remain in effect indefinitely, meaning the timeline for when the mandate will be rolled back as going depend on how the county does over the next weeks and months. disney world is putting a pause on their vaccine mandate for employees there. workers were notified about the change by an internal memo saturday. the move comes as the biden administration suspended enforcement of its vaccination requirement for private businesses to comply with a court order. that mandate would have require businesses with a 100 or more employees to have workers fully vaccinated or tested weekly. well, park spokesperson says 9% of the florida based disney workers are already vaccinated. still ahead on the

loved ones made it safely into town and they're going joy some really nice weather. and if you are still hitting the road today because you did leave over the weekend. what can you expect. what you need to pack in your back. good morning. john. not so much to worry about weather wise that we so just make sure you got all those presents and i don't know anything else. bring, you know, if you had to the holidays, we are going to be looking at some good weather to be heading outside to do some travel. >> whatever you need to be doing mother nature is saying i'm not interrupting you this time around. we do need the moisture. but if we need to take a break from it. i guess thanksgiving week is not a bad time to be looking at a dry stretch of weather. your view outside right now is showing some clear skies all the way up to the coastline here. berkeley hills camera. it's a straight shot all the way past the golden gate bridge. we do have some fog formed in the central valley. but really that's about the only spot that we're seeing. widespread fog and that will try to drift its way into the antioch oakley areas on along highway 4 up their northern contra costa county aside from that radar is looking nice
