near that treasure island exit during the last hour and that vehicle has been removed. but traffic is still pretty slow. and we're also seeing a pickup in traffic here as you're heading across towards the peninsula at a little under 18 minutes. so we're starting to see delays along one o one contributing to that. and the richmond sandra fell commute. as you travel out of richmond. a little under 30 minutes for you now. darya james, back to you. thanks a lot. there's an amber alert you might notice this morning because we're looking for a 15 year-old girl who was kidnapped in santa rosa. yeah, a mysterious case. this is her picture. police think or abductors or possibly headed down to southern california. >> kron 4. sarah stinson is live in santa rosa and sarah. okay. so sarah, looks like you're at the gas station where the abduction occurred. >> that's right. the 15 year-old delay whole girl was here at this arco gas station with her family else about the ways you can not the same. it's in arco gas station with this is where it happened here in santa rosa on guerneville road. it happened yesterday afternoon and this 15 year-old

has been missing ever since. they have an idea of who they think the abductor is. let's first take a look at the photo of the girl missing its georgie on a bamboo loy. she was at this gas station with her family on guerneville road when a man they say man ran across the parking lot forced her into his car. it happened at one 50 yesterday afternoon. family was described as a 5 feet. 6 inches tall girl. you can see your picture. she's not long dark hair. they say she had was last seen wearing black jeans with a black sweatshirt with cherries on it. police and chp have identified the man they believe took the girl saying this is who is 20 year-old aja need a semi know described as a 5 feet. 7 inches tall man brown hair, brown eyes last seen wearing an orange long sleeve shirt hat and black pants, which of a screen shot from surveillance video from this gas station we're at right now. and you can see that bright orange long sleeve shirt while the abduction happened just before 00:00pm in the afternoon. police and

filed for a missing persons report or respond until for 10 in the afternoon. so one question we're going to try answer this for you this morning is why did it take so long to do that. what happened in the meantime, police say the victim's parents told them several men forced their daughter into a dark colored vehicle. but upon further investigation. it looks like they're only talking to the media at least about one man in particular. and that's the 20 year-old we just showed you. >> also have a picture of the car involved. a green 2007 chrysler town and country minivan with a temporary texas license plate and that rage 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, you 3 in. of course, you know, remember that right off the bat. so we have that on our website kron 4 dot com. it's all over social media to take a look at it, especially if you are in this area yesterday. >> maybe you're an uber or lyft driver. lot of them have dash cam video like video sources. so that could be useful as well that we can see if it matches the license plate or anything like that.

this happened around midnight right near 17th and broadway reports on the app. also show that one of the victims was taken to the hospital. we're get more information from and o- police. and as soon as we get more details on exactly what happened or a possible suspect. we'll let you know. >> 7. '05, another jewelry store is hit in the bay area. this time it's the daniels jewelers in the salon. a town center in fairfield. and look, there's a sledgehammer on the ground on the floor in the store. we don't know exactly what was taken. but this is the 3rd jewelry store that's been targeted this week. we told you yesterday he's got away with $250,000 in merchandise from the longboat jewelers store in san francisco's chinatown. that was tuesday morning and then over the ice for diamond shop. that's the one that these at 9 people went in and you can hardly make them out because they clearly had this heist plan. they went in at just before closing time, there were employees and customers in there at concord sun valley

mall smashed up the cases and got away with basically everything in them. luckily, everybody is ok, nobody was hurt in that big stuffed. >> well, new this morning, the hayward unified school district has voted out close to schools for the upcoming school year. and that means that a lot of kids are going to be displaced and have a lot of uncertainty right now. camila barco is light and hayward. so how are parents and kids and teachers dealing with this. >> well, school doesn't start for a maybe another hour or 2 here. but it's you know, their feelings are just going to be hurt. they valley for the schools to be open. but in the end, the board's decision was to close 2 schools here in hayward. i'm currently at bowman elementary. and it's one of the 2 schools that are slated to close for the upcoming school year. the board members contemplating closing 6 of them, however, students at bowman show their opposition against the idea by

drawing up signs and taping them on to the school's gates ultimately board members voted to shut down bowman and strobe ridge elementary schools next year. they say it's due to a budget shortfall and a decline in enrollment. the assistant superintendent of business is says enrollment has declined by 25% over the past 20 years. the school district is built to serve 24,000 students. but officials projected enrollment to dip below 18,000 over the next few years now board members also consider closing glass brook elementary to a middle school. however, the fate of those schools. plus other ones is up in the air board members decided to hold off on making decisions for those other schools. but for students here at bowman and us trowbridge elementary. their fate has been decided this is a last year that students and teachers. we'll be able to walk into this building for the last time. darya james,

'08, right now and in san francisco, the schools and teachers and parents came together to remember 30 year-old educator and rizzi men who was struck and killed by a car in for the school. he worked out. there was a vigil last night to honor him and he was struck and killed last week while he was crossing the street at franklin and union. and this vigil is a joint effort by the school and walk san francisco. they're parting for safer streets. >> one of the biggest things is you. if you walk on that street speeds are incredibly high. the street is designed to encourage fast driving. and they're coming down a hill flying at that intersection it's treacherous and want to let you know that we are committed to making certain that we're doing everything we can, not just sherman elementary school. >> to work with the sfmta to make the streets safer.

evening hours tonight. this weak frontal boundary finally dropping into the bay area losing steam as it does so, though and really only resulting in some light showers for the north bay. the couple of sprinkles into early tomorrow for the rest of the bay area. you do see around 07:15am chance of a few light showers here and there pushing through the day moving out really quickly by noontime. what is going to leave us with will for most areas maybe a 10th or trace of an inch of rainfall fairfield really maxing out out that 10th of an inch while oakland hayward san jose and even san francisco, maybe hundreds of an inch. so this is not a drought buster to be talking about nothing close to it actually, probably not even going to slow you down too much 60's for your daytime highs across most of the bay today 50's near the coastline. as for temperatures. the next 7 days. there's not a whole lot of change going on. we stay for the most part dry aside from tomorrow. scattered sprinkles and temperatures will remain in the low to mid 60's all the way through thanksgiving reyna. so an update on that hot spot we've been following out of hercules.

time. and today is day 3 of deliberations in the trial of kyle rittenhouse. he shot 3 men during a protest in kenosha, wisconsin last summer. 2 of those men died now rittenhouse is claiming self-defense. yesterday the defense team asked for a mistrial after the jury asked to to be able to re watch a video that was used as evidence in the case. the attorney argued that it was given a lower quality version of the video from prosecutors and that the jury is getting a high resolution version of that video. they didn't like that. the judge hasn't yet ruled on the motion for a mistrial.

>> happening now, the man who f tally shot ahmad arbery is back on the witness stand for a second day of testimony. the prosecution gets to cross examine travis mcmichael today. he's one of the 3 white men charged with killing arbery yesterday, mitt michael testified that he feared for his life because there was a struggle over his gun mcmichael his father and another man say that they chased arbery to make a citizens arrest because they saw him running through. he was jogging running through their neighborhood and they thought he was a burglar. mcmichael says that he shot arbery in self-defense because he says he thought it was a life or death situation because arbery was trying to grab his gun. arbery was unarmed. a judge has ordered x raiders wide receiver henry ruggs the 3rd to make an in-person court appearance next week. that's because he missed a breathalyzer check in

now his defense says that been completely due to fall and that he self tested shortly after he missed that breathalyzer test. but the judge still wants him to go back to court records show that arbery cannot have alcohol and has to be tested 4 times. it's alright ruggs has to be tested 4 times daily or he has to go back to jail ruggs faces 4 felonies and one springing from a car accident where a woman named tina tintor was killed in las vegas. >> in the east bay richmond police right now are searching for a driver connected to a fatal hit and run. so the woman was struck by a car around 2.30 wednesday morning right near hilltop and more years drive. we'll put an icon here in the map showing where that is the driver then fled the scene and shortly after a second driver ran over the victim that was lying on the ground by the time police got there, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
