saw the bullets over my head and we saw some flyby. we learned the identity of the man suspected in a shooting rampage the gilroy garlic festival. all of the latest developments are on the investigation. we learn to the youngest victim was just six years old. how witnesses are describing the horrific attack. alive look outside at the start to a much more comfortable day. mary is tracking the cooldown for us. good morning it is monday, july 20 ninth i michelle griego. i melissa came in for kenny choi. >> investigators from dozens of law enforcement agencies are in gilroy in the wake of sunday's mass shooting they tried to determine whether the gunman had help. three people were killed when a man with a rifle opened fire at the annual possible just after 5:30 yesterday evening. this morning the family of six- year-old stephen romero confirmed that the little boy was among the victims. at least 12 other people were hurt before police opened fire and killed the shooter. someone his essay there have

been a second person involved but investigators are still trying to determine whether that is the case. we are live with him coverage and maka because at the police command center with the latest. jackie ward is santa clara valley medical center with more on the victims but let's check in with kate nielsen. we understand authorities have identified the shooter. >> sources have confirmed to cbs that the suspect is identified as 19-year-old santino william we can. from what we saw understand, they were able to recover a backpack along with a rifle and ammunition. we have also been told police have searched the believed home of the 19-year-old suspect, as well as a second home. and they believe there was another suspect who was involved somehow with the shooting. we do not have the identity of the second person. we also do not know to what

extent the other person may have been involved with this. the gunman killed by police has been identified to cbs news sources as 19-year-old santino william league and. they were able to recover a backpack and a riffle and ammunition. we will learn more at a press conference later this morning at 10 am. kate nielsen, back to. i'm anne makovec and go right at cure house i score law enforcement is a gathering as the investigation continues. they have and alteir on a the big question is what was this guys motive the shooting. we do not know much about it. we did hear from one of the band members playing at the time of the shooting. he said that he heard somebody yellow why are you doing this to the shooter and the shooter

the south bay including here at santa clara valley medical center in san jose. there were tweeting seven of the 12 victims. three people were killed including six-year-old stephen romero. he was called little stevie and he was shot in the back. he died at st. louis medical center. has mother, barbara, was being treated here but he was transferred to stanford for surgery. we believe stevens grandfather still recovering in santa clara. this patient's were initially taken to st. louis medical center two transferred to santa clara medical valley center. there artie five gunshot patient and they got two from st. louis which brought the total being treated to 7. the hospital spokeswoman told us injuries range from fair to critical. she also told us she explained what last night was like as people were trying to get over the initial shock of the shooting. like we never had a mass shooting and santa clara county. we had multiple patients from

other emergencies. most often a hazmat incident, but this is a tough situation for the community and staff and the families and victims. it is awful.>> besides being treated for gunshot wounds, some people scrapes and bruises from falling after they were trying to run to safety. stanford medical center has admitted two victims what we do not know their exact status. in addition to the six-year-old victim who died earlier, we do not know the ages of, the exact ages of the other victims. all we know irene 2020 something to older than 50. jackie ward, kpix 5. the gilroy garlic festival winding down when the shooting started. many witnesses we spoke to said they initially thought this was part of the event. then they quickly realized it was much more serious. >> at the same time the music

actually the case. closing arguments began and ghost ship warehouse trial in oakland. codefendant derick almena and paris its face 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter one for each person who died the 2016 fire. prosecutors say the warehouse had been illegally converted into a living space last lacked basic safety features. the defense argues the fire was an act of arson. the official cause was never determined. the jury will begin deliberating one week from today. >> first responders are at the scene fuel tanker overturned licking some of the load into a dry creek bed. the truck overturned epic rock ridge yesterday morning. some say it is a steep and winding road the taker should avoided. spec 200 gallons of tel aviv to leak. 6700 gallons in each other and deputies say multiple agencies are working to offload the remaining bala before
