well, guys, there's a lot going on in the news today, the fda approved pfizer and moderna booster shots. not only that, a jury in wisconsin approved gunshots. [ laughter ] yeah, today, kyle rittenhouse was found not guilty on all five counts in the shooting that killed two men and injured one during last year's racial justice protest in kenosha, wisconsin. it just goes to show you can do anything in this country, as long as you're in the white, i mean - [ laughter ] on the right -- no, in the right. [ laughter ] let's move on to some lighter news it was a big day for president biden. this morning, he went to walter reed for a routine physical and a colonoscopy [ laughter ] i guess biden's infrastructure plan means all of the tunnels are getting worked on. [ laughter ] [ cheers and applause yeah but it wasn't a typical colonoscopy. >> steve: really [ light laughter ] >> jimmy: no before the procedure, biden started talking and the
anesthesiologist fell asleep [ cheers and applause ♪ colonoscopies can be a little invasive that's why before the procedure biden was like - ♪ go easy on me baby ♪ >> jimmy: but get this - [ laughter ] well, after his procedure, biden took part in the annual presidential turkey pardoning. and last night, the two lucky stayed in their own suite at the willard hotel. here they are. this is real [ laughter ] yeah even weirder, it was the fantasy suite. [ laughter ] i heard that after their pardon, most presidential turkeys go to live the rest of their days on a farm in virginia called gobbler's rest and believe it or not, all of those pardoned turkeys actually have their own reality show. watch this >> coming up on the next "real turkeys of gobbler's rest. marshmallow throws down the gauntlet with fudge. [ laughter ] meanwhile, democrats actually planned to vote on the bill last night, but house minority leader, kevin mccarthy, gave

and when you think about it, it's like -- i was very, very controversial. >> jimmy: oh, yeah >> oh, yeah. a very long time ago [ laughter ] >> jimmy: you haven't stopped. >> well -- >> jimmy: you haven't stopped, whoopi >> i swear i'm not as bad as i used to be [ laughter ] i'm not. i'm not. i don't -- you know. >> jimmy: yeah >> but - >> jimmy: but did you have to audition and - >> he asked me to come to amblin studios, which is where all of his stuff was in his headquarters and he said, "we just open this theater and i want to see what you've been doing on broadway. and i was like, "okay. i said, "there's one thing i've -- they asked me not to do," and i'm not going to do it and he said, "okay." all right. so i do it and i peek out to see because i'm curious who is in the audience. >> jimmy: yeah >> and it's, you know, ashford & simpson and it's quincy jones it's michael jackson it's all these people and i'm thinking, "i am in trouble." >> jimmy: wow. [ light laughter ] >> because, you know, my shows were very, you know, out there
so i go out and i do it and they -- they like it they're yelling, "more, more, more." and i thought, "ooh. i was not supposed to do more. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: i was actually told not to do more >> i was told not to do anymore. [ laughter ] and -- and steven said, "do -- is there -- do you have something? well, i said, "well, yes but i'm not sure you're gonna like it. >> jimmy: yeah >> and he said, "why not?" i said, "because i -- it's about bleet. he said bleet? and i said yeah, it's the black et [ laughter ] and he lands in oakland. [ laughter ] and he's in the projects with the kids >> jimmy: exactly right. yeah, of course. >> and he was like, "i need to see this." >> jimmy: bleet. yeah >> "i need to see this." >> jimmy: did you do bleet and i did it i did it for him >> jimmy: wow. >> and it was really strange to do because he really -- he understood why i was writing it because, you know, in '84,
'83 there was a lot of crazy stuff going on again with immigration. and how we all act towards each other and so the bottom line of it was i wrote about the fact that he needed to remember who he was and where he came from because, of course, he attacked his people when they came because they didn't recognize him because he had assimilated >> jimmy: wow. >> so, yeah. it was very -- >> jimmy: wow, it's deep >> i was very deep >> jimmy: deep, oh my gosh >> very, very deep you know [ laughter ] >> jimmy: but that go you the role, and you crushed it i mean, yeah >> it was good, you know listen, it's not bad to have a a good origin to the story you know >> jimmy: i totally agree with you. it's not bad at all. >> yeah, i'll never be a marvel superhero.
