a death at valero refinery. they're cooperating with agencies. fremont police officer involved in serious crash on niles canyon road east of fremont, entire road shut down mission boulevard to paloma way. answering call about report of a prowler. both expected to be okay. dozens of people demonstrated outside of healdsburg winery to boost protections and wages for workers who worked in the wildfires, they want this and information in languages they speak. north bay jobs with justice and farm workers.

new at 11:00, southwest airlines is rolling out new incentives for staff, hoping to avoid more mass cancellations. according to internal memo. last month canceled more than 2,000 flights, blaming weather and staffing. cost them estimated $75 million and led to lot of upset passengers. new incentives are based on rapid reward points which employees can exchange for cash. staffing shortages have led to disruptions at southwest, american spirit and others past year. two people escaped from fire that destroyed a 50-foot yacht in petaluma before 4:00 this morning. firefighters put it out before it reached the docks. no word what started it but

valley. visibility dropping off in concord and the north bay, dense fog advisory for morning. but south bay for the morning could see some fog set up. not out of the question that dense fog advisories may be expanded early morning through midmorning, then clouds break up around the central bay with warm temperatures in the afternoon. despite starting off foggy with 40s and 50s, highs will again climb to mid-70s. san jose, 76, looking warm. low 70s around the tri-valley and maybe cooler, upper 60s around solano county. easily the warmest days is tomo. monday, highs cooling, upper 60s to low 70s. "monday night football" out of levi's stadium is cool 60 with

overcast skies, transitioning cooler tuesday as clouds thicken up. not best rain chances, storms falling apart as they approach. maybe a few north bay showers tuesday. best chance will be thursday. but this system, too, may bring breezes, winds 20 to 25 miles per hour. in terms of real rainfall, weather models are pulling back on that. quarter inch or less, mostly peninsula up to the north bay, best chance for rain this week. warm finish to the weekend with fog to start the morning, then more clouds, cooling and one rain chance, mainly in the north bay as we head towards thursday and friday we'll see if it develops into something more significant. right now, light rain chances second half of the week and clearing again for the weekend. back to you.
