behind as they were rushed from the venue on friday night. as this mass tragedy unfolded. we have seen folks coming to lay flowers and candles and pay their respects to the vims, putting up pictures outside the venue to remember them now, investigators say the central question for them is what caused the surge? what caused the stroud to move forward? they say they are exploring all possibilities. they are reviewing surveillance footage from inside this event, going frame by frame, to see if they can come up with a time line that explains why the crowd surged and why these eight lives were lost. they are also guaranteeing a robust independent investigation of all the safety protocols that went into this event the site plan, the permitting, the 50,000 people inside, were the rules adhered to by the people that organized these events it could be weeks, even months before they have answers >> all right, katie, thank you breaking this morning,

according to our nbc affiliate, a suspected serial killer has been arrested for several shootings and six homicides in the st. louis area, and kansas city, kansas 25-year-old perez reed was linked to two shootings in st. louis with a pistol used to shoot all of the victims he was then connected to two murders in kansas city in october. evidence included the alleged murder weapon and shoes found at the crime scene. many of the victims were sex workers, but the alleged motive remains unknown. he maces two counts of first degree murder and one count of first degree assault the prosecutor's office ask expected to hold a press conference later today a missing 16-year-old has been found using a distress signal that became top lar on tiktok there it is. you hold your hand up with your palm facing the other direction. then you tuck your thumb into your palm and told your fingers
