40-year high, a new sign that prices for many everyday household items are set to increase even higher to account for record high demand, labor shortages and supply chain issues. proctor and gamble wednesday, announcing it will raise prices by average 8% on tide, and gain laundry detergents and fabric sheets, also hiking prices on personal healthcare products, the ceo saying americans so far don't seem to mind the higher prices. >> demand is strong, we have 9 out of 10 in categories that are growing market share the last three, six, and 12 months. >> reporter: also on the rise, gas prices, with the cost of oil hitting a seven year high this week. experts say supply is still catching up to prepandemic levels. one tracking site now predicts prices at the pump will average $4 a gallon by spring. >> bottom line, if price increases are what you're worried about, the best answer is my build back better plan.

can use them to steal steal your information, qr or quick response codes are bar codes used by many businesses especially in the pandemic, when scanned by a smart phone they direct user to a website, the fbi says criminals are now tampering to those codes to redirect victimed to malicious sites that steal log-in and financial information. >> they're warning that they can in fact manipulate the coding in the qr code to change it, to redirect you to a different website and then proceed to ask you for financial information, bank information, personal log-in informaion. >> in texas, police say dozen of qr codes attached to parking meters, tricking people into scanning them. >> you're in a hurry, you see a qr code, pay money to a website, turns out to be the wrong website, we're all unfortunately aided by technology and of course we suffer at the hands of technology at times. >> reporter: police in massachusetts, also warning
