square here in new york city. and now, new york city holds on to the title of the nation's largest metropolis. the big apple added 600,000 people, growing to 8.8 million. phoenix is the fastest growing large city. now, the nation's fifth-largest. what may be the biggest takeaway from the 2020 count, the nation's white population shrank for the first time in the country's history. and the retirement community of the villages, florida, was the fastest growing metro area. its population growing 40%. it's what she wanted for years. britney spears' father, jamie, says he will step down as her conservator. but that won't happen until certain matters are reserved. christine sloan explains. ♪ i'm the ring leader ♪ ♪ i call the shots ♪

>> reporter: this morning, a major victory for britney spears and her fight to end a conservatorship that's controlled her life for 13 years. her father, jamie spears, has agreed to step down as conservator of his daughter's estate. the decision revealed in new court filings. where an attorney for jamie spears says britney's father has been the target of unjustified attacks. but says that a public battle is nt in his daughter's best interest. but also saying jamie spears will not step aside until matters are resolved. and, quote, mr. spears intends to work with the court and his daughter's new attorney, to prepare for an orderly transition to a new conservator. one legal expert says jamie spears says he is making sure his legal fees are paid. >> to me that's improper because he can't condition things on self-interested transactions like making sure his own attorneys fees are paid. ♪ i don't need permission made my own decisions ♪ ♪ that's my prerogative ♪ >> reporter: britney has argued she has been fit enough to perform for 13 years, earning millions of dollars.

she recently told a judge the conservatorship prevented her from making decisions about her own body. and she wants to press charges against her father for conservatorship abuse. her faerne wayother.to go after no doctor has presented evidence or declaration saying she is incapacitated. she was concerned about losing a relationship with her children. >> reporter: jamie spears has disputed those accusations. in new court papers, his attorney says, quote, the conservatorship saved mrs. spears from disaster. mona? andrew? >> christine, thank you. also, celebrities are reaching out and saying congratulations. paris hilton is tweeting she is happy to hear this news. it is long overdue. >> a lot of fans posting. she posted an instagram post wthout a caption. it was just an image. a lot of people under there saying britney is finally free. they are determined to set her free. her lawyer says he plans to investigate jamie spears'

scan in their order and receiving their order from the bellavator. delivering food for from the second floor kitchen so customers and employees never have to meet face-to-face. and for fast food fans who don't want to bother with the drive-through, wendy's will bring its patties to you, opening 700 delivery only kitchens to a area near you. delivery accounted for 3.3 restaurant traffic in the year that ended june 19th. that was 8.4% in 2021. so many people ordering from the third party apps. myself included. fries and frosty, anybody?
