[ laughter ] amongst the eight lit candles, but that's not all. as i look closely, my mother has two vibrators laying across --

[ laughter ] >> anthony: uh-huh. >> my hawks are not in it. they almost made it. they did a great job. give it up for the hawks. [ applause ] >> anthony: okay. >> i'm bandwagon. i like to stay happy. so whoever wins i'll be happy with, but i have to keep going. i have to stay happy. i have to follow whoever is still in the finals. >> anthony: i understand. >> it don't end because my team didn't win. >> anthony: that question has to end. can we go to the next question? >> go ahead, anthony. >> anthony: i'm trying to.
you were at game four. what was the atmosphere like in the arena? >> it was incredible. milwaukee, i know they like to drink beer because during commercials all they did was chug down beers. old women, old people, they didn't care. [ laughter ] ladies, little kids. i say, hold up, y'all going too far now. [ laughter ] it was incredible. they had a great deejay. they played michael jackson. i danced. they played michael. they play the church, i dance, i dance all the time with michael jackson. >> anthony: we have a picture from you at the game. let's pull that picture up. >> oh, yeah. yes. [ cheers and applause ] that's the new crew right there. >> anthony: that's a hell of a starting five. chance the rapper, dave chappelle, kareem abdul-jabbar, oscar robinson and yourself. >> oh, yeah. >> anthony: how did you guys come together like that? how did that happen? >> this is the big events, man. people come out. i came with kareem. kareem invited me. his people called because we knew each other. i was surprised. i wasn't planning on going.
kareem people call, "kareem wants you to go." okay. i'm in jersey at a golf tournament. i'll come over to milwaukee. no problem. i'm walking down the tunnel with kareem abdul-jabbar and oscar robinson and all the guys who won in '71. that was the year i was born. '71. i didn't know that, the bellman told me going up in the elevator, but i found out. >> anthony: i thought you didn't know you were born in '71. >> i knew i was born in '71. >> anthony: okay. >> we was in the stadium walking down the hallway with kareem and oscar. it was like you could take over the world. i know why magic won all those championships. >> anthony: oh, yeah. oh, yeah. >> you see kareem in front of you. yeah we gonna win. >> anthony: we going to win tonight. >> it's who you're with. confidence. >> anthony: the most memorable moment of the night in game four, aside from you dancing like michael jackson, was that giannis block. >> oh, man. >> anthony: can we see that play? >> throws it up. shot blocked -- >> anthony: you were there to see it.
what was going through your mind, and what do you think was going through giannis' mind? >> it happened so fast that first of all, i was shocked. then giannis was determined. he was like, not tonight, not tonight. we got to win this game. i don't care what it takes. [ laughter ] i can imagine what his brothers say. you're about to get this game. they're going to send us back to greek if you don't get this name. going back to greece? you only have one chance! [ laughter ] i love his brother by the way. even mutombo said, oh, my god, what a block. my god. [ laughter and applause ] no, no, no. he did it. not tonight, not tonight. [ laughter ] >> anthony: how many finals have you gone to, chris? >> i've gone to a lot. i'm bandwagon, i told you. i went to golden state. they was winning a lot, i had to jump on the band wagon, i had to stay happy. it was great. that was a great one because they gave me a hat because i knew the owners. i knew some of the players. i was backstage, celebrating, they were happy too, until i tried to go in the back locker
room. they said, no, chris, that's as far as you go. i'm out here. okay, i'll see y'all when you get out, i'm out here, i got the hat on. [ laughter ] >> anthony: chris, we both have birthdays coming up next month. >> that's right. >> anthony: you turning the big 5-0? >> turning 50 august 31st, put your hands up. [ cheers and applause ] 50 years old. but everybody keep asking me what i'm doing. i tell them what i'm not doing. i'm not swimming with sharks. i'm not jumping out of airplanes. >> anthony: why not? >> no! i want to make and it survive 50. i don't like stuff like that. i'll be watching on tv, why are they doing that? >> anthony: because it's adventurous. >> adventurous to me is like going out on a yacht. that's as much as i get adventurous. [ laughter ] riding home at night. that's adventurous if you're a black man. [ applause ] being by myself? they gonna set me up. >> anthony: being adventurous like a black man is driving home through a white neighborhood at night. >> yeah, that can happen too. [ laughter ] no, i like to chill, though.
at 50, i want to be with my family, number one, because i'm. we like simple things, family. [ cheers and applause ] virgos in the house, i want to be with them. then after that, i'm going to go somewhere probably. >> anthony: okay. speaking of going places, have you gotten back on stage yet since this pandemic is coming to an end or was over for a little bit? >> i did one time. dave chappelle invited me to his comedy camp in ohio, springs field, ohio. dave chappelle is so rich, he bought a town. [ laughter ] i said, dog, netflix love you. i'm serious. i go in the sandwich shop. they're like, dave told me you was coming. come on in, free sandwiches, free sandwiches. go down the street, dave got a barbershop down the street. dave, he own this town. it's like the town prince was in in "purple rain." >> anthony: oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. ♪ purple rain ♪ >> anthony: i remember that. do you have plans on getting back on, or was that your only venture on the stage, doing dave's? >> i'm going to do it again. it was going to be a whole week. we did one night. somebody caught covid the next morning. dave flew us on a private plane.
our punishment, because we all had to leave home, was get on that private plane and go back home. i said, i'm ready to go. any time the plane is ready. he flew everybody down on a private plane, it was beautiful. >> anthony: i would be remiss if i didn't ask you about this because one of us is an avid golfer and one of us plays and one of us plays at it. let's talk about your golf tournament and what it benefits. >> both of us is a good golfer -- or pretty good. i'm not that good. i got to work on it a little bit more because when i tee off, like birds fly away. [ laughter ] ducks get out of the water. turtles run away. i heard a bird laughing one time, i teed off. squawk, squawk! i said, man, you can't do it! [ laughter ] [ applause ] >> anthony: who's the best and worst golfer that you've had at your tournament? >> i might be -- i might have been. i don't know. barkley's getting better. >> anthony: charles is getting
