heavy rain in turkey's black sea coastal area sparked flooding so violent it smashed into a riverside home and swept it away. now, fortunately, nobody was at the home at the time. and in china's yellow river valley, muddy waters are waist-high in some areas. at least 33 people have died. tens of thousands have been forced from their homes. and back here at home, the plague has been confirmed in six colorado counties, including laplata county, where a 10-year-old child has died from the disease earlier this month. the plague is caused by bacteria and is transmitted by bites from infected fleas.
