are very concerned about what is happening in this country. i went to report my book american marxism was number one new york times seller list e-book in hard copy number one canadian booklist believe it or not. it has outsold the next 15 books this is life liberty and with a very important show for combined first week sales of 400,000. 400,000 have taken the time those that are reading the book and want to know how to save the country i am with you. one of the aspects of the book i have yet to discuss his chapter six the media i wrote a chapter called on freedom of the press that if we had immediate there are a few exceptions if we had immediate in this country that were honest and reporting
news, we wouldn't be in the situation we are today of what's going on in the classrooms and borders the democrat party tries to monopolize politics and how big tech tries to silence people with different opinions with the work on free speech and academic freedom. we would have a real media trying to protect the republican principles. that is the perspex of the free press not those who support the ideology of the spine and american marxist movements so i thought i would spend a few minutes talking about what i said in the book about the media because this is a big topic as far as i am concerned. start with "the new york times". considered the gold standard of media. everyone with cable tv the other newspapers all read "the
new york times". in washington dc it is the first paper to pick up and read with the enormous amount of influence pushing the 1619 project pushing the destruction of the use as an enormous amount of power but what is "the new york times"? it is a corporation. what kind? diabolical. why? because it has supported some of the most heinous genocidal movements that mankind has ever known. did you know that? know you know and i will demonstrate it. i will demonstrate that an american marxism and in on freedom of the press. that money go outside my own book to point out here we have a piece how "the new york times" how tied the mass
murders in ukraine of stalin. i have written about this they had a reporter the name of walter headquartered in moscow for 12 years. he was stalin's left boy he was on stalin's payroll, that he tried to protect stalin he provided with women and with food and car in the management of "the new york times" but never took steps to stop it he waited right pieces that were absolute propaganda from moscow particularly 1932 when stalin was trying to start ukrainian peasants. they owned their own land and farmers didn't buy into marxism. they were not prepared to give up to the land to the russian regime.
he decided to starve them that way they were too many to shoot. so to hear how the ukrainians were with the gulags that is how desperate the situation was there was cannibalism. millions of ukrainians were slaughtered in the most horrific ways. "the new york times" in moscow cover that up and said in passing sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette he got a pulitzer prize but they refused to give up but that's not all. less than a decade later "the new york times" was at it again the nazi correspondent adolf hitler rose to power of a con question mass extermination the bureau chief
was in his favor the near times. chief was a mouthpiece for hitler in the third reich. "the new york times" did its best to cover up the holocaust. and then to exterminate all european jews. nfa bang that pots and pans is not as if adolf hitler was keeping a secret. if your regular subscribers to the holocaust you had no idea was taking place. they would talk about on the front page and then doing fdr's bidding those that one of us information about the holocaust as possible next new york times and to massive
genocides cuba has been in the news it is another genocidal regime people want to be free. that regime will not allow them to be free. what does "the new york times" have to do about it? another reporter by the name of herbert matthews help to build the legend of fidel castro. he was losing and hiding out badly beaten so what happened? while the batista government claimed castro was dead "the new york times" reporter wrote a glowing piece about castro that he is still alive and fighting and he has built an army and completely deceived with the whole notion of this romantic revolution and castro said he was a democrat and rising up to take out the military regime a glowing article and matthew wrote the
personality it was easy to see them then adored him and why he caught the imagination of the use of cuba all over here was an educated dedicated fanatic and remarkable qualities of leadership so the interview helped castro as reuters pointed out by exaggerating the size of the rebel force and castro would later break how he duped "the new york times". stalin. hitler castro. "the new york times" is on the wrong side of all three. propping up or covering up the paper record that's fit to print this is important to understand because "the new york times" has not changed ownership it's the same family. is very incestuous handed down from one to the next in the
ideology is very un-american as it has been in the past they don't embrace in our rights or the declaration of independence that this bond american marxist movement. every damn one of them. critical race theory. the trans- movement. open borders. the attack on capitalism and on and on. read "the new york times" and read what they spine have to say what demonstration is up to i point out "the new york times" how corrupt the media can be. did you know karl marx career was a journalist. you have this with the information a self-described
socialist publication noting that marx was a journalist all of his adult life started to write in 1842 and founded his own paper 1848 his work for the new york tribune came about because he met an american and in 1848 a few years later asking marx to contribute articles to the new york tribunal contributing hundreds and hundreds over many years. he said i think marx is a way to publicize their views and influence debate and in an interview with james ledbetter marxist articles for the tribune that the basic march 1 —- approach was to take the event of the election and the
uprising the outbreak of the american civil war and intelligence boiled down to politics or economics and then on those questions to make that judgment marxist journalism does resemble some of what is published today it's hard to see a direct link between that contentious writing on public affairs that characterize much political journalism especially in new york and here in the 20th century. marxist approach to journalism is very similar. it's unencumbered by a that commitment instead is reporting to shape the news around his own opinions and ideology. after 1848 he had the power of counterrevolution and began to believe they cannot be overthrown until they are
well-informed to do so. but the media could be used as propaganda. became clear with every passing year so i point out in short the power of mass communication and the need to control it and the purpose was to propaganda not informed provide much more on this in american marxism i hope you take a look at it. a corrupt media is poisoning a free country those led by "the new york times" that they are not the only ones. the reason i will american marxism is to get around that credit media. to get around the oligarchs that run big tech so we could communicate with each other what is going on in this country and what we could do about it. go get a copy of american marxism.
and there you have it - wireless on the fastest, most reliable network. wow! services for life. big deal! we get unlimited for just $30 bucks. i get that too and mine has 5g included. impressive. impressive is saving four hundred bucks a year. four bucks? that's tough to beat. relax people, my wireless is crushing it. okay, that's because you all have xfinity mobile. it's wireless so good, it keeps one upping itself. mark: welcome back america. senator rubio it is a pleasure to have you.
i want to discuss cuba if you can imagine of all things. not enough has been said looking back at history at the media's role particularly with herbert matthews and "the new york times" and they seem to have no responsibility for what they create in cuba still very sympathetic to the communist regime and i hate to say many people in these leading physicians of the democratic party what do you make of this? >> you are right people are not aware of it but fidel castro is a liar from the beginning they covered him they romanticized him they wrote a series of articles intended to influence american opinion he said he would have elections that he used religious symbolism and then obviously that change and then
anti- american almost started a nuclear holocaust with a cuban missile crisis and has been a source of instability all over the world so multiple countries in africa all of the destabilization the western hemisphere they have killed civilian pilots brothers to the rescue were shut down 1996 unarmed and searching for rafters and trying to save them you are right about the coverage. about how great the healthcare system is in the literacy rate is so high and the embargo completely and art ignoring that the regime against the own people it's one of the key points of the trump policy we can trade and commerce but not
just with entities owned by the communist party or the marxist regime of cuba that is the right policy. mark: what you make of the support for this regime? twenty or 30 years ago the nation was almost unified. in the sixties the democratic party was appalled by the regime. and i have the same sense of morality and concern in parts of the democratic party the squad cheering for castro the way they were cheering for hamas so this is growing in this country. don't you get that sense quick. >> it is as a vibrant constituency looking at who raises the money and the activist base it is unfortunate for the country basically new age marxist they don't call themselves that who also happened to be america so
there is some suffering cuba or anywhere else there is some policies for something we have done wrong. 's what that core america is the inherently evil nation built on the this is not a nation worth saving but to be torn down and rebuilt. there is a lot of that embedded in and part of that is you look to cuba and you say we don't like the fact they put people in jail that generally what they are trying to do is the right thing. government-sponsored this and that. for us cuban is an example socialism was to keep people poor because they are easier to control. can use medicine and in jobs and education as leverage to get them to do what you want
them to do. that is a powerful lesson to take away and anywhere else where marxism or socialism rains. mark: president biden was slow to respond with people rising up they did not have weapons but just marching in the street they had speech even though they don't have free speech they are putting their lives on the line. not just mostly peaceful but 100 percent peaceful the thugs and secret police drag people off some of our still missing shutting down bloggers and journalists and i hear almost nothing coming out of the executive branch. not just the white house but the executive branch. what do you make of that? >> first of all it took joe biden 24 hours to speak about it than the initial message indicates what has happened. the people in charge of cuba policy which hasn't been a priority they are people who
have a long history of advocating for more engagement with the regime. those running cuba policy of the national security council and state department were involved with cuba which was a total disaster. that is the first thing and the initial reaction is protesting but that's because the cuban government will not allow than men. because of the embargo. it's tough economically. this is the fault of the trunk on —- the trump sanctions and covid but then it was a condemnation of generally speaking. socialism. marxism, cuba is a failed state. we stand with the people. a couple days later they cannot with a statement of what we will do is figure out a way for relatives to send more money to their relatives
that this is what the protesters are asking for and the vast majority or overwhelming majority the reason money can go there is the regime is set up from the bank in panama that controls that they send it to the bank they take 10 percent they keep the dollar they convert those into a worthless cuban currency and trump said enough. they leave that out so the people in charge of cuba policy are not in favor of being tough on the regime and frankly prefer to have stability man liberty in cuba. mark: when we come back to my will ask you about the immigration system. one for the southern border and one for the cuban people. we will be right back. there's strength in every family story.

at their policies are doing be at they have announced with cuban ancestry to announce don't come to the united states we will send the coast guard we will send you back understand we don't want a flood of people coming into the united states. but they really do qualify for refugee status as opposed to those who come into the united states because they don't like the economy, crime in the cities. what do you make of this? >> i don't believe that anybody in cuba should take to the sea. we don't want them to do it but the regime has used mass migration as a weapon. and 94 they used it against the united states and that cannot be tolerated. those are fair on —- forceful statements. where was that when biden was running for president when he became president? by the time he got around to say it had no credibility was almost a joke.
the reason were having a crisis at the southern border they live under conditions but the trafficking networks have told them there is a new president who will be the opposite of donald trump in every way so the first thing we need to have changing policies and then into defend the children and guess what that is what people are doing because the attitude has changed so that is what we see now a rush on the southern border that continues to escalate on a daily basis and is all by the rhetoric of the campaign and the actions. they didn't say what they said but no border wall they cannot be separated and what we process your claims are releasing them into the
population that is an incentive. inviting people. mark: it's also a disaster. to million people per year. that is the size of the city of philadelphia. we cannot handle or assimilate. school systems, police forces, they are bringing people into the interior not just from the border but dropping them off without telling governors or local communities what is going on. what is going on what is in the mind of the administration? >> it goes back to the point of the first segment there is a very part of the base of small dollar donors and the activist who don't believe in borders at all their argument is show up you should come here people people argue there should be no border people can
migrate wherever they want. no country in the world not america or china no nation can absorb uncontrolled mass migration. you just can't do it. it's not possible. we are lowering these people into the hands of the worst human beings on the planet they abuse the women they sell them off and hold them hostage until they pay the fee it is a terrible situation and entirely created by the incentive of the biden administration by words and actions. >> we wring our hands and try to talk to fellow citizens about this the media oppose our view the groups that you talk about our activist to this agenda the bureaucracy opposes our views we lose the argument over immigration and the border over citizenship
and unless we can take back the government. correct? there's a lot we can do. >> you talk to people in everyday basis i'm talking not those that are glued to cable television but have jobs and are involved they all think this is lunacy. what's happening on the southern border is lunacy. you are right if this was a republican administration you would have bureaus the major networks would establish bureaus you would have a live cam 24 hours a day. they would have a clock talking about how many people came in today. just like when the children were held in the processing centers all full-scale attention across the board but now they barely want to talk about it and if they do they criticize the governor's or send local law enforcement to back up or to talk about how this is exaggerated as a
crisis. but people see it for what it is progressively don't believe they are falling for it. but the left is oblivious because everybody agrees with them. they think they hold a majority position. they are not. elections will tell the story. mark: i hope so. i agree think there will be a reckoning in 2022 with the border, crime, with this administration and where the party takes us. it is amazing we have to wait. the vast majority don't like what is taking place on the border they are repulsed but there is very little we can do until the time comes. senator rubio thank you very much good luck in your reelection. >> we will be right back. you are familiar with time he is a great patriot time you spent your entire career to protect this country and enforce our sovereignty we see this crumbling away as a result of policies last few months by this administration and the party of joe biden what do you make of this? >> personally i am disgusted because almost 35 years i worked my way up the chain the first director of i.c.e. to come up to the ranks. i spent my whole career doing this and president trump gave us the most secure border in my entire career of 35 years. that is a historical fact regardless if you like the man or not he did more than any president i work for an ivory work for reagan but trump
secure the border illegal immigration was down between 60 and 80 percent depending on which month you look at that is destroyed within weeks with the biden administration i work for six different presidents when illegal immigration is down 60 percent how many women are being raped by the cartels how many children are not dying how many millions of dollars did the cartel not make how many fentanyl overdoses did not occur so president trump save lives joe biden ran out and sold himself out with the defense act and he said yes. border barriers work but to become president he sold himself out. to make all these entices to
stop the border wall and eating i.c.e. detention free healthcare. amnesty. daca he made all these promises because that would satisfy the progressive left i make no qualms to say he sold out the country and now we see in action people say this is incompetence. no it's not. and it is disgusting because if they think immigration doesn't matter there is 93000 for no overdose that's across the open border 31 percent of people being raped matter there are 200,000 and got away who are the 200,000 are they traffickers terrace?

absolutely no concern of people coming in who are dirt poor from foreign countries who clearly do not have that medical care of vaccines that we have coming into the country and moving them into the interior of the united states? >> the open border agenda they will not risk that at all. you cannot name one thing i did anyone to give me one thing the president has done what has he done to illegally enter the country which is a crime by the way? every week to slow the flow the latest was two weeks ago and said we will open the aperture of who can claim asylum now it's not what the law says to fear persecution from your home government because of race religion or political affiliation. now to expand expand to domestic violence you may
qualify if you are in a high crime area. gang violence. they open at the aperture. what will that do? that just brings more people to the border illegally. the president is bragging how many people are way down why? they call that a success to prospect for quicker. no. that's another enticement. we can get release quicker in the united states but with covid it is disgusting what they are doing but they are he had positive people coming through. since the pandemic started and right now we have 1000 and in custody between them and contractors and those cases that came across the border. mark: unbelievable. tom the press has a lot of people trespassing on june 6th they were on the grass the

next to the rio grande the men and women that put their lives on the line every day was 7000 already this year by saving people in the desert they save lives mr. president they don't watch people starve to death. they have been abandoned by their own commander-in-chief and their secretary. that's what it's like talking about covid a few minutes ago, over 20 officers have died from covid with high-speed chases and fights but they die from people coming across the border being infected. that is a fact and with i.c.e. has been 20 years as a nice agent now they can no longer do their jobs in the biden administration said to beacons
aggravated felonies let's be clear in the last five or six years 91 percent of everyone i.c.e. arrested was a convicted criminal and then to say we have to cut those further with the last of resources and fy 122,409,000 people. there are not allowed to do that. i never said what i would not in my lifetime for but it is not illegal in the eyes of the biden administration. mark: so what you are saying to define did eyesore border patrol but the way they conducted themselves effectively have done that
through the back door. we saw the border patrol and i.c.e. but the policies are outrageous. open border policies can do its job people are pouring over and being overwhelmed and that's exactly what kamala harris and then go down to the areas where it's overwhelming because they know what the policies are doing that need to see what their policies are doing. >> they may not abolish the end long agency but there's no longer enforcement be immigration law on the border or the interior. mark: the department of justice were ins used to be housed, that is federal law enforcement. they are the power to prosecute and obviously department of justice and
