children to cover their noses and mouths where they breathe for 7 hours a day every day for the last 9 months for a virus that you know doesn't affect them. that is not in their best interest. >> sean: a lot of kids never went to school. let not your heart be troubled. laura, take it away. >> laura: i was out hiking the other day in the woods with my dogs. yep, a woman in the middle of an open field. maybe 30 or 40 yards away from me and my dogs. i think she left -- she could have been in the olympics. she leapt over that path. >> sean: was she running away from you or the dogs? >> laura: i didn't have a mask on in the open field.
>> sean: dr. fauci was telling us a mask can't work. >> laura: they will hold on to this mask thing as long as they can. i am laura ingraham and this is "the ingraham angle." with their constant lying about shootings involving the police, the left are seeking to divide the country. newt gingrich is here on that. for over a year, this show has told you that again outside during covid, it's safe and wearing masks outdoors, it's become a mental illness. brought on the government and finally some in the larger media, the medical community have begun to awaken from their covid slumber. she will show you what is happening there. first -- we the big climate con is the focus of tonight's
"angle." fresh off declaring that america is a systemic racism country that brutalizes black people, president biden is urging the world to follow our lead on what the left moves to frame as the moral issue of our time. global warming. >> we must keep the earth's temperature to an increase of 1.5 degrees. this is a moral and economic imperative and a moment of peril but a moment of extraordinary possibilities. >> laura: how does a rotten, racist, unjust society such as ours have any moral standing to order other countries around? because if democrats believe what they have been saying about america, then we are in no position to claim the moral high ground on climate change or any other issues. why would any nation follow the
lead of another government if it can't master hosting a zoom meeting? >> i call upon the prime minister of australia. scott morrison. >> [silence]. >> mr. prime minister, i am not sure we are hearing you here. >> [echoing audio]. >> [inaudible]. >> laura: they are less convincing when they echo. at the same time, you can ignore all of their verbiage about saving the planet and global obligations and realize just one thing. if you don't think of anything when you watch this nonsense, think about one thing:
biden's plan to cut carbon emissions by 52%. it's just a plan to cut your standard of living. this is a massive climate con and we have to expose it step-by-step. climate con number 1, the recycled obama era programs of green jobs. >> i see an opportunity to create millions of good playing jobs with line workers laying lines for a clean grid. i see auto workers building the next generation of electric vehicles. >> laura: this is sick. thousands of american workers are going to be leaving their once good paying jobs in the oil and gas industry to go traveling across the country, capping off
the wells that put their kids through college? that will be great! biden's climate agenda will create million of jobs all right, in china. even the "new york times" admitted. biden's plan will be an economic boon to china since the u.s. relies on chinese manufacturers for low cost solar modules. they have minorities in campus where they face torture and coerced labor. biden is engaged in his own form of torture by hallowing out industries that american families have depended on for jobs and affordable energy. putting millions of non-slave
labor jobs in america out of business. climate radicals demanded that biden block the keystone pipeline and he rolled right over. it was a cruel attack on thousands of american workers. you add to that the idiotic decision to ban new oil and gas lease sales and drilling on federal line. you have an economic catastrophe on the horizon just when we need relief the most after the pandemic. >> ♪ ♪ . >> laura: you hear that? that brings me to climate con number 2. that the world is united in the climate change fight. >> no nation can solve this crisis on their own as you fully understand. we have to take action, all of us. this summit is our first step on
the road. >> i thank president biden for bringing us together and the returning united states on the front rank of the fight against climate change. we can build back better from this pandemic by building back greener. >> laura: i have a question. if we cut carbon emissions will hecomb his hair? it's almost worth it. this gave way to the harsh reality that every nation in the end will do what is best in its own best interest, except america. >> we must be committed to the principle of common hostility. >> we are in india are doing our part. >> russia [inaudible]. >> laura: in other words, fork
over billions or we won't lift a finger on climate or anything else. everyone is looking for a pay off. the united states is out of money. we are printing but we are out of cash. with china the ransom would be the form of huge concessions on tariffs. this will be terrible for working class americans but great as usual for wall street executives. for europe, they have always been annoyed when our economy out-performs there as it has before, during and after the pandemic up until now. now, with all of this opportunity for climate change reform, it's time to level the playing field. >> nature can't pay the price any longer. it is so good to have the u.s. back on our side in the fight
against climate change. >> laura: in other words, good-bye long road trip. hello carbon taxes. if you want to see where our gas prices are heading under biden check out what they are paying in the netherlands: $8 a gallon. climate con number 3, this is about following the science. if that were true biden officials would be able to answer simple question. >> how much will this lower world temperatures? >> i don't think the modelling speaks to what this bill will do. >> why are we doing this? >> we have not done modelling because the job plan moves we are doing more than just focussing on climate. >> laura: oh, that's terrifying. doesn't this remind you of the
experts that told us covid lockdowns were the answer. they could not explain why but said trust us. for biden's team we know how much his grand plan will reduce global temperatures. not at all. climate con number 4. we should listen to the kids. it's their future after all. if you are allowed to have kids, they will be indoctrinated into critical climate theories like critical race theories. you will love house the democrats star hearing witness today. >> how long do you think we can continue to ignore the climate crisis without being held accountable? sooner or later people will realize what you have been doing all of this time. that's inevitable.
you still have time to save your legacy. my advice for you is to choose wisely. >> laura: wait, it gets better. what happens when you mix open borders madness and critical race theorys and climate parnoia together? you get this. >> the crisis is the result of oppression, and capitalism. climate justice is social justice. all of these solutions must implement this with the voices of black, and brown communities. >> laura: prepare to pay climate reparations. you will be poorer and less free
and you will be miserable while john kerry flies around on his private jet. there is a silver lining. given how radical these proposals are, if republicans play their cards right have a huge opportunity to grow their base by focussing on how democrats climate plans will add huge burdens to the middle-class. minorities and rural americans will be hurt the most. we need to convince them that the return to the america first policy is the only forward. they worked during trump's first 3 years and they can again. that's the "angle." joining me now is steve maloy, a former trump transition team member and founder of junk science.com. this is an overhaul of the economic system and wrapped in this earth day, save the polar
bear mentality. it tugs at the heart strings. but also it's time to watch your wallet and hide the kids, correct? >> absolutely. that was a wonderful "angle." there is a reason that earth day and lennon's birthday are on the same day. this is a power grab. if you listen to john kerry today, if the world goes to net zero emissions it won't matter. climate problems will still exist. we will be spending trillion dollars and destroying our economy and lowering our standard of living for no reason. we will let china become the lone global super power when we try to figure out what to do for electricity and gasoline. that's what joe biden wants to get rid of it. >> laura: steve, i want to go back to this fantasy of millions
of green jobs. we have been hearing about them for decades. the idea that people who used to work in oil and gas, their big job is to go around capping oil and gas wells? are they kidding me? it's embarrassing it's so bad. >> we went through the green jobs 10 years ago with the obama stimulus. that was such a disaster even the washington "times" said that was not the way forward. joe biden he kills high paying oil and gas jobs hoping to replace them with low wage solar and wind jobs. the largest wind producer in america was killing 500 american jobs. these green jobs don't exist.
if they ever do they will cost a lot of money. more than they are worth. in the end-all we are doing is we are killing high paying jobs and raising energy costs and making ourselves poorer. it will be worse for poor people in minority communities. high paying jobs will vanish. it's a nightmare all around. >> laura: the idea that we are will be able to make all of this technology in the united states, but with biden's trade policies and china's concessions that they demand and getting rid of the tariff, the big corporations will say we will make all of this here now? none of that will happen. we have the worst of both world series. we won't be able to move around freely in cars.
everything will cost more and it will all be made in china. >> electric cars depend on cobalt and 90% of cobalt is processed in china. right now with fracking, we are energy dependent. under president trump we were energy dominant. now we will depend on china for cobalt for electric cars. and john kerry said none of this will make any difference to climate. what are we doing? >> laura: that could have been the most embarrassing moment of the day. technology snafus not included. if you want to start a race war in america would you do anything different than what we are seeing from the left in the media? newt gingrich here next to explain.
officer's life saving action as a cold-blooded racist killing of a teenager. it's a lie and they know it's a lie. they obscured key details in the story and spin fantasies. the "view" pretending to a firearms expert. >> shoot the gun in the air for the warning. taze a person. stop them some how. in the only solution is to kill a teenager, there is something wrong with this. >> laura: maybe a wonder woman lasso. use that next time, joy. there is something wrong with daytime tv wind bag lecturing a police officer on how to handle a knife weilding lunatic.
she mentioned that ma'khai bryant had a knife. cnn's reporter did not pay attention. but she described the girl who almost got stabbed. >> i look at that video. i ask if that were my child or my child was the child in pink who was close to ma'khai bryant when she was shot, what would have happened? a lot of people are asking that. >> laura: the child in pink was just close to miss bryant. she went through mental gymnastics interviewing america's expert on anti-racism. >> when i look at that video, i ask myself if that would have been a 16-year-old white girl in a wealthy neighborhood, would the police officer have sought to disarm this girl?
>> laura: well, how about why was this black teenager weilding a knife in the first place? how do we fix a broken foster care system? how did addressing the circumstances that put bryant in the foster home in the first place. those questions likely have tough answers. it's an uncomfortable conversation. the conversation that mr. kennedy and crew don't want to have. the most egregious example of the rot in modern media was for nbc's nightly news last night. listen to part of the 9-11 call that lester holt wanted his audience to hear. >> he was responding to a 9-11 call. video shows him approaching
a group of young people in this driveway. >> the female with the knife attempting to the stab the first female. >> shots ring out 4 times striking bryant. >> laura: this was a lie of omission and a purposeful one. what they cut out was someone screaming that a girl was trying to stab us. that girl turned out to be 16-year-old ma'khai bryant. nbc did not show viewers the knife in bryant's hand as she was shot by police. this all seems really shocking until you remember that lester holt admitted while accepting a journalism award 3 weeks the following. >> it's clearer that fairness is over-rated. the idea we should always give 2 side quality weight and merit
doesn't reflect the world we find ourselves in. that can be quite dangerous. >> laura: the only dangerous of fair and objective journalism is it might upend the media's lie about systemic racism and policing. to allah akbar -- to all of those condemning the police officer's actions. watch this new video. >> [bleep]. >> laura: joining me now is newt gingrich. a fox news contributor. we always have this conversation. we can't believe it's really gotten here. i feel like i am back in the soviet union where i was a student in the '80s watching
what was happening real time with a media that prints lies or speaks lie and every day it's getting worse. >> i think it's more like maliced china with the brain washing and punishment. the requirement to admit your guilt even when you are not guilty of anything. the policemen in columbus was operating in the shadow of an event that happened earlier in since the where one 13-year-old girl killed with a knife another 13-year-old girl. he knew there was a real danger that the young woman with the knife was going to kill the person who needed help. it's almost barbaric that people on the left including the biden
white house when immediately distorted what happened and tried to turn it into an institutional racism baloney. as people see the footage that, policemen had an obligation to be biased in favor of the innocent and against the criminal. that's the opposite of where the left wing democrats have gotten to. what congresswoman waters said and what tlaib said. the bias among democrats is the criminal and right and the policemen is wrong. the innocents have to pay the cost. >> laura: and ilhan omar spoke at the funeral for daunte wright who was killed in minnesota, but veered into the topic of
columbus. >> just like we were visited by tragedy in minnesota, he in columbus, ohio was visited by a tragedy of a young woman whose life was taken by columbus police. >> laura: if there was a republican making this claim, it would be front page news. >> look, the fact is that the left hates the police. we are faced now with a governing party from the white house to the house and the senate which is actively pro-criminal and anti-police and anti-laught. you -- law enforcement. you are seeing the cost of it. the sky rocketing murder rates is astonishing. you are seeing a rise in
carjackings. what you will find is that when you have hatred of the police from politicians, under-funding being deliberate and all of the bias in favor of the criminals, what you will end up with is a lot more criminals and a lot less safety. that's what the democratic party stands for today. those of us who are not taken in by this have an obligation to speak bluntly and truthfully. these policies are killing innocent people by setting up situations where the fewer police you have, the less are trained they are and the more they are intimidated by the media. >> laura: yes, we have to go but they are afraid to step in. 2020 saw an unprecedentsed spike in murder across major states in
the u.s. -- despite the left still sees an opportunity to abolish policing. in chicago where homicides are up 55% from last year mayor lightfoot is considering forcing cops to get their supervisor's permission before they pursue a suspect on foot. people that pay the price are not the politicians. they are the poor people and lightfoot believes this is all about saving black lives and that's what she will argue. last year we saw more police despair and retiring. beat can't have that. -- we can't have that. joining us me jason hill. you say i believe that this
moment requires americans to really begin appreciating what police do for us. today that's a provocative statement for a black man to make. >> that's true. what we need to realize first is anyone who is calling 911 right now, those police officers are risking their lives at this very moment to protect blacks, white, asians. anybody. police officers, law enforcement officers risk their lives to protect the average american and non-american in this country. we have to pay homage and respect to those people. the individual police officers who violate the rights of others should be tryed in courts of law. that's what happened recently.
but this idea of demoning law enforcement and defunding police officers, you see what happens when you have to acquire the permission to pursue or to gain entry into a house -- >> laura: how would that work in practice? this is what the left will never confront. they don't like to get specific. they like to traffic in tedious bumper stickers. question authority. they don't want to get into specifics. they are always exposed. when you nail them to the wall on these hypotheticals they don't want to go there.
it means black and brown lives especially will be put in jeopardy, does it not? >> it does. it doesn't work. it's ironic that travis nagby, a black lives matter leader was an advocate of defunding the police. in november 2020 he was car jacked by 3 thugs who shot him and killed him. there were no police in the area. why? because of the voices that were screaming for defunding the police. you can't cheat reality. you spout this nonsense. when you call 9-11 you get an answer saying this number is not in service. >> laura: jason, thank you. what is critical race theory look like in practice?
now, simparica trio simplifies protection. ticks and fleas? see ya! heartworm disease? no way! simparica trio is the first chewable that delivers all this protection. and simparica trio is demonstrated safe for puppies. it's simple: go with simparica trio. this drug class has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions, including seizures; use with caution in dogs with a history of these disorders. protect him with all your heart. simparica trio.
>> laura: the virginia department of education is taking steps to abolish advanced degrees for gifted students. why? because they are worried who students who excel are not diverse enough. this bothers the policy director for virginia's education department. >> we will start with the possibility of consolidating...
>> laura: she is an education expert. she means punishing the gifted students in the name of racial justice. she wants to take virginia's top notch education system and drive it into the dust. how does that help anyone? this is a parent and also harry jackson. you are the father i believe of six kids who are in the extremely-- >> no, three kids. >> laura: okay. you are at thomas jefferson one of the top schools in the country for science and technology. how does this affect your kids?
>> well, it would affect the oldest by losing his opportunities this next year. it would radically impact my daughter who is doing pre-calculus by 8th grade and my kindergarten is also gifted. she would not have the enrichment opportunities in education. >> laura: we are told by this woman and others like her this is about racial equity and opportunities for all. isn't that a nobel idea? >> it's a race to the bottom. virginia has leadership that decided that any kind of advanced learning is an injustice. they failed black and hispanic students. their solution is to bring those who are excelling down instead
of bringing our most challenged kids up to the levels we would hope. this is the ultimate injustice of this critical race theory. it's so unjust to the advancement of children in society, it's something everybody should be worried about. >> laura: another top virginia person said that about the state's math initiative. >> it's framing and restructuring the way we think about the progression of math that meets the needs of every student. i don't want to lose sight of the equity implications of this initiative. it will be one of the most transformational things we can do in virginia to advance equity. >> laura: they are telling your kids they can't handle the
course load? or is it just dumbing down math so everybody gets an a. what is going on. >> it's a race to the bottom. it's denying advanced math for those students that can handle this material. i am a parent of gifted children. this doesn't only impact gifted children. it impacts above average students. they put people with a 500 on the math s.a.t. with a 300 with the matt s.a.t. what they focussed on if your kid is bored and slowed down, we will give them extra work and it will cause problems for these children. >> laura: this was one of the most disturbing stories in a line of disturbing stories we
>> this massive crowd. not many wearing a mask. i spoke to the tampa police and asked what are you doing about this? >> the idea of that many people not wearing masks is terrifying. >> it's irresponsible that people are going to rallies and not wearing masks. >> laura: it only took the media and the medical establishment to go from 9 months to what you just saw to this. >> it doesn't make sense to wear a mask outdoors. >> there is a national debate over the need to mask up when you are doing activities outside. a doctor says it's fresh air. >> we know that the virus largely spreads indoor. there is very little transmission outdoors.
>> laura: if only they listened to "the ingraham angle" last year. is this america? the crime of not wearing a mask outdoors? joining me is dr. paul alexander. why is the media and the medical elite seeing the light on masks? >> well, thank you very much for having me. i think sometimes we [inaudible]. we know that there is little if any transmission outdoors. just 10% transmission happens outdoors. outdoor there is sunlight. there is the heat. you have no need for a mask.
it should have never happened. indoors it might be an argument because ventilation may not be as good. >> laura: i want everyone to understand before the segment tonight i was on the cdc's website. they have a list of circumstances when you should wear a mask. it's still up on the cdc website. any time you are indoors or outdoors with people who don't live with you. that's pretty much all the time, right? it says you should wear two masks, disposable underneath and cloth on top. combine the cloth mask with a fitter or a brace.
i don't know what a fitter is. doctor, is there any real science to back up what they are pushing on the american people? they are making people freak out still in the middle of an open field. >> this is still about driving fear. we have looked at the body of evidence on mask wearing indoors or outdoors. the body of evidence suggests that the masks we use today. the blue surgical masks and cloth are ineffective. there is no evidence that these masks are effective in covid transmission. we have studies and in sweden 2 million swedish kids less than
16, there were no deaths in the entire sweden and there were no masks. the masks play no role. i am sorry, that's the fact. they want to follow the science. >> laura: they are not following the science and they are turning our kids into paranoid about breathing in their own exhaled breath when they are playing sports. that's child abuse! thank you. speaking of masks, speaker pelosi got confused trying to explain what hers was. tonight's last bite next.
