Alan Turing was highly influential in the development of theoretical computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of algorithm and computation with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general purpose computer. Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence. Turing - Underrated Genius, mathematician, original thinker with foresight - he was codebreaker at Bletchley Park in the UK largely responsible for turning the tides of war against the Nazis. What’s more is the principles he came up with founded computer science. Turing was intelligent, & intelligence is powerful.
Intelligence is largely what defined our species ascension from the ancestral environment. Without ingenuity, no matter how dexterous our hands, how opposable our thumbs were, we would not have been able to communicate, strategize, and form complex tools from our environment. We passed on complex explanations from generation to generation which gave our species unprecedented adaptiveness especially as we edged closer towards being able to record information in written form. Intelligence is powerful.
