The
existing clean energy technologies are wind and solar which are intermittent
in nature and depends on the availability of the wind and sunlight. To give
stability to the power supply another source of clean energy which does not
depend on uncontrollable wind or sunlight is required. Currently nuclear
energy is the only other clean energy technology which has been developed to
such an extent to support the transition. This paper proposes that captive
and private nuclear power generation shall be allowed using Small Modular
Reactors (SMRs). Private Investments in the sector lead to more innovations
in the field. Sujith P Surendran | Dr. Tabrez Ahmad"The Required Policy
